Elgin leaving?
I was at the prowrestling.net forums and one of the guys on their staff said this
Well, he is planning to leave ROH after this run because he feels he's under-appreciated and under-valued. He has such an obnoxiously high opinion of himself so I really think he's serious.
Is this true?

Re: Elgin leaving?
He does seem to be a bit whiny and disgruntled lately, but I believe he signed a new deal before winning the title.
Re: Elgin leaving?
He did do an interview with Between the Ropes today where he said that next year he plans to focus on getting an MLB tryout.

Re: Elgin leaving?
Yeah, I think that has roughly 0% credibility, but I guess I've been wrong before.

Re: Elgin leaving?
Fantasy booking:
Elgin turns heel based on being disgruntled and insecure (best wrestling characters using reflect real personality of the performer.) He says though he isn't like the Decade, he doesn't need a crew of never-was's or some green rookies to kiss his ass.
He'll be damned if someone like Adam Cole will try to take the title from him and then take greener pastures in WWE. He'll be damned if someone unambitious like Jay Briscoe regains. And he'll be damned if someone like AJ Styles takes it, coming and going as he pleases while making the big bucks and using his TNA resume to hold real talent down and hold promoters up for ridiculous money.
Styles dethrones Elgin at Final Battle 2014 or Supercard of Honor IX.

Re: Elgin leaving?
So two people who don't normally (or ever) post here, have posted about news they heard from this site.
Something's fishy.

Re: Elgin leaving?
That is intriguing. If this does turn out to be an advertising campaign, then I shall ready the banhammer.

It's just weird that it's one of their staffers who does their ROH coverage

Re: Elgin leaving?
He just main evented and won their first live TV PPV, winning the top belt which he's been chasing for over two years and has stated multiple times was one of his life ambitions, along with being put in a position where he's not a million miles away from getting to Japan due to NJPW's relationship with ROH and him being the champ, his other stated ambition. I don't see why now would be the time he's feeling underutilied.
Re: Elgin leaving?
Yeah I don't get it either but it is what it is. He's ROH World champion. This could just be speculation or hearsay.
Re: Elgin leaving?
I would love to see the visual of Elgin and Bull Dempsey in the same ring together. I would also love to see them have a twitter feud.

Truer words have never been spokenHe has such an obnoxiously high opinion of himself
Also whats this shit about him hoping to get a MLB tryout? Seriously... Why? because he goes to all the Cardinal games with Mischief? Reminds me of the time Brock Lesner tried out for the Vikings LOL. Maybe it's because Elgin seen Alexander Rusev on T.V and his ultimate dream was crushed. Not only is Rusev bigger but he also has all his hair

Michael Elgin @ROHMichaelElgin · 3 h
Correction, I'm going to do an open tryout for baseball to see if I'm good enough. I'm ROH world champion and that's where my heart is

if i was Delerious i'd cut Elgin's title reign short for his stupidity .187_Joeism wrote:Michael Elgin @ROHMichaelElgin · 3 h

hopefully Briscoe beats him tonight and keeps his undefeated streak alive

What's wrong with trying out for baseball?
Re: Elgin leaving?
he just got the ROH title and was what a day away from a big main event when he drops news that he wants to play baseball? guy's an idiot.Robareid wrote:What's wrong with trying out for baseball?
now instead of talking of his "big" match vs Briscoe, we're talking about his possible baseball future. nice timing Elgin. way to take the focus off ROH. repping the ROH world title well bud

Re: Elgin leaving?
It's not like he was busted for DUI he was just talking about something he was interested in, it's honestly a stretch to think this makes him some sort of idiot or it's hurting the company at all.DirtyDave wrote:he just got the ROH title and was what a day away from a big main event when he drops news that he wants to play baseball? guy's an idiot.Robareid wrote:What's wrong with trying out for baseball?
