Re: ROH vs PCW show announced
I haven't seen a whole lot of PCW, but I've only heard good things. This is pretty cool.
I wonder if it will be billed as a joint show by ROH?
Couldn't they have gotten a better name than Supershow of Honor though? I forget who, but someone mentioned this in another thread. They really need to quit just slapping "of Honor" onto the end of everything.

Re: ROH vs PCW show announced
I think they could have a good crowd if they go to UK and have a real ROH show, but this is a good way to book the talents in England without the full travel cost.
Unfortunately i don't really know the PCW wrestlers or the UK wrestlers in general, except a couple of guys.

Not Southside?
This is an outrage.
This is an outrage.
I'm gonna be at the top of the mountain in three years, with or without this belt. I'm gonna be the best that ever lived. And what you don't understand is, even if I don't get that far, at least I had the courage to get off my ass and try.

I would have preferred RPW, Southside or IPW:UK, but this is still pretty cool.

Re: ROH vs PCW show announced
PCW is one of the top wrestling promotions in Europe in terms of their uber talented roster and their high production values. Their event this weekend (June 28th) had a draw of around 4000 fans to their Tribute To The Troops event and they continue to sell out their monthly live events.
ROH who are the measuring stick of independent wrestling have been creating stars for years now. With their own style of shows they do not try to be anything but the best in their field. ROH have a global fan base and get nothing but respect at the mere mention of their name.
PCW Owner Steven Fludder ''It is a great achievement for us to make this deal work for both parties and I feel the greatest benefit will be seen by the fans who attend. With interest from all over Europe it will be great to welcome ROH to Preston and show them how hard we try to be the best we can be. Just to be associated with ROH is a massive coup for PCW and we really hope this is just the beginning as we could really help promote each other to overseas markets''

So it seems like this is a working relationship, very excited about this!

Re: ROH vs PCW show announced
This is great news. Can anyone give me some names of some PCW wrestlers to check out? The only British wrestler I really follow is Zach Sabre Jr. and I don't think he is in PCW. Speaking of ZSJ anyone think he will be at DBD weekend or the Canada show in September. He is going to be in the states for BOLA so hopefully ROH can use him for one of those shows.

El Ligero, Noam Dar and Kris Travis all definitely get my seal of approval.
Devitt is also a semi regular there, although he may have been all done on the indies by the time the show rolls around.

Noam Dar is fantastic. I've seen little current British wrestling, but I know Noam is really good.

I think that confirms that the UK ROH appetite is still very much there.187_Joeism wrote:...and the tickets are gone!

Re: ROH vs PCW show announced
I didn't make the connection between PCW being Preston City. This was the first match I saw from them a while ago

Made me want to see Ligero again, as he more than held his own against Tozawa

This was actually the match I watched to re-familiarize myself w/ the British scene earlier today. Ligero's not bad. I don't like that mask, however.DBSommer wrote:I didn't make the connection between PCW being Preston City. This was the first match I saw from them a while ago

I wonder if this is just a PCW thing or if ROH is going to be promoting it as well...
