Is it really too much to buy the VOD?

Id actually say it is to much. Since you are not buying it.. you are simply renting it. VOD are a scam.

I may be alone on this, but I never really want to rewatch wrestling. There's so much out there that I'm never going to watch everything I want to anyway, so rewatching is the last thing I'd want to do. So yeah, for me VODs are perfect.

VOD is the same as a PPV. You pay to watch it. And correct me if I'm wrong isn't an ROH iPPV/VOD available to you for the whole year until the day of the event the next year? I think it is because I bought Best In the World last year and I am still able to watch it until the 22nd.

Yeah renting it for a year. That's BS when you can buy the dvd for 20 keep it.

Now i know some people like to only watch an event once. I'm not like that at all. I enjoy keeping and owning real media.

So i say they should have the IPPV cost 10- 15 .00(since it's live and all) but after that the 8.99 membership fee should be all access to past events.

So why are VODs a scam? They're a cheaper alternative for people who don't feel the need to own.

Well it's scam to me since i want to own. I also think in todays world, it should be way cheaper to watch a VOD of a show than 15.00.

But for you UK people its great to avoid the ridiculous ROH shipping charges.

But if you are happy to simply watch it and never again, than that is fine as well.

I don't fault anyone for pirating shows though. If it wasn't for pirating ROH would never had made this far.

I actually can't spare 15.00 every few months with my job cutting hours. and trying to feed my family. I have to wait till my birthday in October to buy a shit load of ROH dvds when that black friday sale happens.(take th cash from B day and use in November for ROH shows) Im always a few months behind.

Wait, you're advocating stealing ROH shows, as it helps ROH? That's a new one.

There's plenty of proof out there that shows pirating actually results in purchases in a lot of areas of entertainment.

It's the way the world works today. Before the 2000's they tape traded and dubbed copies of tapes.

Yeah, internet piracy has done wonders for the music business...just ask anyone in that industry. And just because stealing (that's what it is) media has been around since the VHS tape era doesn't make it less wrong. The theory that it helps a company is similar to the "free sample" concept...but that falls apart when you consider the amount of free content ROH already makes available on TV & the web to sample. If someone is stealing GlobalWars, I doubt it's going to make them more likely to do anything other than continue to illegally view content. The basic idea is that if you can't afford to buy or do something you don't do it.

Funny relevant tweet from Colt Cabana yesterday replying to a fan tweeting a link to Road Diaries:

"@ColtCabana: @WhatASmark I put my life savings into making this movie.Ya don't even feel bad for stealing it? And then telling everyone else to steal it?"
