Alberto is going to be at Bound for Glory so I assume he's not done with Impact.

ROH see's Shawn Michaels as special ref for McIntyre vs Cole and raises the WWE, Kenny Omega.
Re: Ring of Honor Events Schedule Thread
So Cody says there's one surprise big name left for the SA show... maybe Jimmy Jacobs? He has said that he doesn't want to sing a contract, but he could work some dates with ROH. Maybe it is Austin Aries? His no-compete clause is over.

I don't know but it's probably not Sami Callihan because he's teasing a Bound for Glory debut.

Jacobs is scheduled for Wrestle Circus that weekend in Austin so he makes sense.

I gotta give ROH credit for just giving the WWE the finger. Well played.
Re: Ring of Honor Events Schedule Thread
Really surprised to see Omega without any mentions of more NJPW talent coming over. Doing this so soon after Global Wars suggests that we might soon be in the area of diminishing returns. Besides popping the gate, is there anything specific Omega could be doing that weekend? Is he just going to be there for three nights teaming with Matt and Nick? If you wanted to occupy the Bucks, just have them defend their six-man titles.
Re: Ring of Honor Events Schedule Thread
I think that the plan was always having Omega as a semi-regular draw. Now that there's no visa issues, he'll be that big attraction, just like AJ Styles did in 2014 - 2016, IMO.Wilson wrote: ↑Fri Oct 27, 2017 1:23 pm Really surprised to see Omega without any mentions of more NJPW talent coming over. Re: Ring of Honor Events Schedule Thread
The problem with a multi-night tournament (with the weak field we know there will be) is that the nights other than the finals usually don't sell well on DVD, so Omega would theoretically help boost that. But mostly he's just there to be a name used to fight against WWE running the same town on the same day.Wilson wrote: ↑Fri Oct 27, 2017 1:23 pm Really surprised to see Omega without any mentions of more NJPW talent coming over. Who does Kenny Omega face that people would come and see?
Not trying to be a downer but who outside of the Bullet Club is a draw in ROH?
I mean really?
Omega vs Castle but that only works if Castle goes over to build momentum towards Castle vs Cody at Final Battle. But that requires Castle to go over and I doubt New Japan allows that.

You could do Jay Lethal. The US Title Tournament match wasn't as great as it could have been because Lethal was selling the rib injury the whole time.WebConn wrote: ↑Fri Oct 27, 2017 3:21 pm Who does Kenny Omega face that people would come and see?

Should draw over 1,000 if that seating chart is accurate, including standing room.
That's double what they drew in San Antonio on 2/3/2017.

Re: Ring of Honor Events Schedule Thread
I'm sure others have said this, but this Omega appearance in San Antonio is simply a response to WWE upping the ante with the big addition to the NXT house show that night. I doubt they booked him for this event with a plan in mind. This smells like they booked him in haste, and they're going to figure out what they're doing with him on that night later on.
