The nicknames have always been terrible- does anyone miss the "Winter Warriors" tour?

No. Winter Warriors Tour was worse. If they want to give the TV tapings a goofy name then fine, but my point is that they should stay consistent with the format they've used, which is a City Nickname Excellence. To not do that for the city with the most (and most well-known) nicknames is just plain silly.

Hammerstein Ballroom
TV Taping
(announced on Saturday during the show).
This announcement was really puzzling. A TV Taping at the Hammerstein Ballroom? Very weird.

I suppose there could be a PPV on that Friday, but that would mean that it must be somewhere other than NYC (otherwise the PPV would be in NYC, wouldn't you think?).

Looks like it'll be pre-Best in the World.
The passionate and loyal NYC fans will be the first to experience the fallout from the Honor United UK Tour, with all roads leading to the Best In The World pay per view!

Pro wrestling has a rich history in the state of Texas, and Ring of Honor is proud to be part of that tradition for nearly a decade. “The Best Wrestling on the Planet” makes its return to the Lone Star State this June with big shows in San Antonio and Dallas.

ROH will be in San Antonio on Friday, June 15, appearing for the first time at The Aztec Theatre. Then on Saturday, June 16, ROH heads to Gilley’s in Dallas.

Tickets for San Antonio go on sale THIS Wednesday, March 14 at 12 noon local time for HonorClub members and Friday, March 16 at 12 noon local time for the general public.

Tickets for Dallas go on sale THIS Wednesday, March 14 at 10 a.m. local time for HonorClub members and Friday, March 16 at 10 a.m. local time for the general public.

The last time ROH was in San Antonio and Dallas was for Survival of the Fittest last November. In addition to the Survival of the Fittest tournament, which was won by Punishment Martinez, those shows featured then-ROH World Champion Cody defending against former champion Christopher Daniels in a Texas Death Match, a dream match pitting Dalton Castle and Jay Lethal against The Young Bucks, Bullet Club -- including Kenny Omega and actor Stephen Amell -- in a multi-man tag match and much more.

Fans can expect that same type of star-studded action when ROH returns to Texas in June. Don’t miss out on your opportunity to be there live!

San Antonio

Friday, June 15
7:30 p.m. bell time

Dallas

NXT ran a show at the Aztec before. Looks like a beautiful venue. Maybe the prettiest one ROH has been to yet.

I don't think a TV taping at the Hammerstein is a bad idea.

ROH has been consistently selling out the Hammerstein since they returned to it and with a great deal of ease.

Has anyone gone to a show in Baltimore? It's only a few hours away from where I live and wonder if it would be worth taking the drive.

Depends on the venue. When they were running the DuBurns Arena, it was amazing. The venue they've been running since April 2014 is... Not great.

Is that a venue in the photo or is it just a landscape view of Baltimore?

Just a landscape view. Baltimore does have one or two outdoor venues they could use, but I don’t think that’s a shot of any of them.

Be cool if they ran an outdoor venue in Baltimore for say Best in the World, That would be a cool visual. Just a thought.

I thought the large building on the left of the photo looked like an arena is why I was asking.

Pittsburgh is a TV taping and called Steel City Excellence.

Columbus is VERY boringly titled Masters of the Craft.

I'm not saying no should they try to run it. Good preparation for the cruise.

95% of the original Delirious-Era names roughly translate to "we're the best."
