ROH did it right by announcing this show early. Get those tickets moving!

A large appeal for me was to have a Diet WrestleMania Weekend with multiple promotions loading up in one central location. This puts a damper on any plans to visit NYC that I may have had.

That's an issue you should take up with the Brooklyn Cyclones then, not ROH.

Well, the Cyclones aren't home the weekend of Summerslam or the weekend ROH is booking, so conceivably they could have ran Summerslam weekend.

Well, I'm guessing they wanted to do another PPV with the NJPW guys, and doing a PPV from the MCU Park probably wasn't an option, and since NJPW's schedule probably just didn't allow for another date, they chose to run somewhere else that weekend, and come to MCU another date
I was in the front line when we battled page 15

No reasonable person could look at what happened to ROH in Brooklyn on Summerslam weekend last year and think, "Oh yeah, we should definitely do that again."

Same night as Field of Honor, in Wappinger Falls, NY on 8/27: the biggest indie show of the year (usually drawing about 3,000 people): Northeast Wrestling at Dutchess Stadium, headlined by Kurt Angle vs Matt Hardy and Jushin Liger vs Jeff Hardy. Liger is just determined to kill Field of Honor.

He'll need a TARDIS to pull that one off.

Wappinger Falls and Coney Island are about 2 hours apart, no traffic. I can't see Liger working both shows.
