Nice Guy Eddie wrote:I posted this on the old board a few years ago. Bryan Danielson is the only wrestler to have appeared on every Final Battle card from 2003-2008.

If that fact is true, you can increase it to 2002, as he appeared in the #1 Contender main event in 2002.

Samoa Joe was never meant to wrestle for ROH full time. He was only booked for a one time deal when he was brought in as Daniel's hired assassin for The Prophecy to take out Low Ki. He got so much positive feedback on his debut match because of his style that Gabe decided to book him full time

Tony Nese was booked in TV taping dark matches in 2009. He lost to Alex "Sugarfoot" Payne in one of them. [cornette]

To be fair Tony Nese was awful back then with a shitty gimmick

Tomasso Ciampa's first match with ROH he lost a six man tag to Dempset, Grizzly, and Rhett. This was later followed up by a loss to Grizz. I guess since they were dark matches we can pretend they never happened when talking about his winning streak.

He had some kind of workout fanatic Bodydonna's type gimmick. He'd bring those workout bands into the ring and workout before matches

Chris Hero has never had a run as a face in ROH, he went from the CZW feud, to Kings of Wrestling, to Sweet n' Sour, to Knockout Kid, to Kings of Wrestling. Always a heel.

He was a face for his last two ROH matches - Final Battle 2011 (lost to Roderick Strong) and Homecoming in 2012 (lost to Michael Elgin).

Kings pretty much would have had to turn face if they had stayed any longer.

I believe the original plan in 2007 was for Samoa Joe to win the belt back and that there was to be a second run of shows over in England later in the year were Nigel would win the belt from Joe. TNA forced Samoa Joe out of ROH and the PPVs canceled the second set of England shows. Shame because the Morishima-Nigel stuff was mediocre, especially as a replacement for Joe-McGuinness. At least Danielson-Morishima was awesome.

Not sure where he said this but apparently Daniel Bryan said that Gabe Sapolsky never had any plans on making Danielson the top guy in ROH. Gabe's vision of the company were Samoa Joe & CM Punk.

I guess Vince wasn't the first guy to not see $$$ in Danielson. Punk leaving in 05 was the opportunity Danielson needed in being the top guy i guess

Adam Pearce was supposed to be the color commentator on ROH TV, not Nigel.

From what I understand - he was trying to solicit sex from an under-age little boy online. The "little boy" was actually an actor working with the cops and, when he showed up to the house, he got busted. And they later searched his house and discovered child porn.

Dateline NBC (here in the U.S.) used to do specials called "To Catch A Predator" where they'd record and show these police stings. They're on Youtube.

But man, that must have been the clusterfuck of clusterfucks. I'm surprised RoH survived it.

Yeah I don't know what's fun about that at all.

A fact, sure. But certainly not fun.

I think I'm gonna have to call the fun police on you.
