Just because they have too many "small guys" now doesn't mean they will 3,5, even 7 years from now.

Adam Cole is what? 23? 24? I think he will get signed eventually. He still has a ton of growth ahead of him.

It doesn't matter what size they are. It's 2013, not 2005 when we had Chris Masters being pushed because of his look and not his talent. They've realized what sells, they've realized where the top talent is coming from. They can sign inexperienced guys off the indies and train them in the performance center all they want, won't change a thing, experience you get off the indies, wrestling every week in and out in-front of live audiences of varying sizes isn't something they can replicate. Not even NXT gives them that because they learn solely WWE's style of performing. If Bryan had known only WWE's style of working instead of traveling the world and learning from so many different guys he wouldn't be half the wrestler he is now.

If you got the talent you'll get the offer. That doesn't mean you have to take it. Some guys like Adam Cole realize they have years on their side. He is 24, he can be in ROH and work the indies for another two whole years and he'll only be 26, three years younger than Bryan when he signed with the WWE and only a year older than Punk when he signed.

As for Davey and Eddie, none of us know what happened. You can make all the hypothetical statements you want until they reveal the inner workings we're clueless. They could have been offered deals and rejected them because it wasn't enough money or WWE wanted something from them. Davey doing it wouldn't be surprising, hes done it before and has said numerous times publicly WWE has never been a goal of his, his goals were to wrestle in ROH, become ROH World Champion, wrestle in NOAH and be the best wrestler he can be. The dude works as a personal trainer as a full-time job and then wrestles on the weekend, you think he's starving?

Point made, but I'm pretty sure JSP was being sarcastic.

I am disappointed they are concerned with guys bring able to make it without them. Does it really matter that much if someone can leave WWE and make a living on the indies? I suppose if you really believe they will not invest themselves in succeeding at the WWE level. Like the NFL is football, the WWE is wrestling to most people.

Unless someone is really good, WWE is not looking to sign small guys right now. They also don't want to sign ROH guys right now but that doesn't mean Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards won't get picked up.
I see this as a good thing. One of the biggest complaints with WWE is that everyone looks too dang similar. You don't have the wide array of looks and body styles that you used to get in wrestling. Before, the problem was that everyone was big, tan, and looked like a body builder. In five-ten years if all their talent is small-medium sized, athletic, and wrestles the typical indy style they will have a similar problem, just at the other end of the spectrum.

Honestly, they've been making a lot of recent hires and there are only so many spots. Just like any company hiring, they are looking to fill a specific position. They already filled the mid-sized/athletic/fast position, and now they are hiring for the muscled out freak position.

Stephen Lyon reports on the wrestling observer site that Davey hinted that he and Eddie are WWE bound

And money won, is twice as sweet as money earned"

Meltzer on the F4W forum regarding this issue:

A story very much in progress.
They didn't get a letter that turned them down like everyone else at camp except the one bodybuilder guy they signed.

They are in play. It is a very unique situation that is still being played out. The most I can say is the people you would expect not to want them don't, and the people you would expect to want them do. I've continually emphasized that they neither have been turned down, nor signed to a deal. That hadn't changed as of yesterday.

In order to protect sources, as well as the potential WWE careers of the Wolves, he has to be vague in this case.
