Per John Pollock of Post Wrestling, Chris Hero was an agent for the PPV.
Obviously Chris being involved in such a way is brilliant for the company but I can’t help but want him in the ring as well.

Chris Hero needs to wrassle for sure. He's probably got a few good years left in him.

For preshow viewership benchmark purposes. I'll use Youtube only since I'm too lazy to look up Facebook viewership numbers.
About 3 days after 19th Anniversary I had noted that the preshow viewership was at 52,000.
18 hours after the first airing, Best in the World's preshow is at 35,000.
Final Battle 2020 viewership to date: 78,145 (since December 10, 2020)
19th Anniversary viewership to date: 88,161 (since March 26, 2021)

What % of Hour 1 watchers do you think are HonorClub or buy the PPV after watching?famicommander wrote: ↑Mon Jul 12, 2021 9:28 am For preshow viewership benchmark purposes. I'll use Youtube only since I'm too lazy to look up Facebook viewership numbers.

Re: Best in the world 2021
I have absolutely zero idea how many Youtube viewers they convert to PPV buyers. By your own observation <4000 were watching live at most points of the preshow on Youtube. Maybe they'd be lucky to pick up an extra couple hundred or so from that.NewROHFan2020 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 12, 2021 10:00 amWhat % of Hour 1 watchers do you think are HonorClub or buy the PPV after watching?famicommander wrote: ↑Mon Jul 12, 2021 9:28 am For preshow viewership benchmark purposes. I would assume that most people who were already planning to watch the main card would've watched the preshow on a platform that would transition directly into the main card (ie, Honor Club, Fite TV, or traditional PPV). I can't imagine a ton of people would knowingly watch the preshow on Youtube and then intentionally transition to Honor Club or PPV for the rest of the live show.
So the point of the preshow would be to hook people on the fence, people who stumbled upon the live feed on Youtube/Facebook/BOTP, or people who saw the social media buzz and decided to jump in at the last second.
And I guess it does serve as sort of a permanent commercial for the main PPV/Honor Club subscription. Who knows how many of the 35,000 so far were influenced towards a subscription after the fact? I don't think there's a way we can measure that.

Right, we have no clue and ROH would not any clue how many YouTube views turn into HonorClub. I wanted to know what YOU think that number is.

And I said I have no idea. I said maybe they picked up a few hundred from the live viewers but beyond that there's just not enough information to go on. Any number I throw out is just a blindfolded throw at a dartboard.NewROHFan2020 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 12, 2021 11:24 am Right, we have no clue and ROH would not any clue how many YouTube views turn into HonorClub. I think the only thing the Youtube preshow viewership is really good for is an apples to apples comparison of the Youtube preshow viewership from previous PPVs.

Bandido was attacked backstage after the match by rush who told him This is just the beginning.

My guess, is they have about 5-10K subscribers in general. Just how the live content is viewed; post live airings. Figured more of the 4K watching live were HC subscribers; and some fraction not able to view live. Plus then you got the people who subscribe after the PPV to watch. Fans on the fence.NewROHFan2020 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 12, 2021 10:00 amWhat % of Hour 1 watchers do you think are HonorClub or buy the PPV after watching?famicommander wrote: ↑Mon Jul 12, 2021 9:28 am For preshow viewership benchmark purposes. Couldn’t catch the flu or mono before? Spitting on another person, especially after a fake fight is “gross” whether they’re 2 anti-vaxers or they had just brushed their teeth and used mouthwash after.
Parler's own Flip Gordon doesn't care, and I hesitate to believe testing to be 100% accurate 100% of the time.

It's gross no matter who is doing it, and nothing you said prior to that is common sense.

Re: Best in the world 2021
Odd phrasing on Mike Johnson's part then
Either way, it's impressive. Comps couldn't have been more than a couple hundred.Last night's Ring of Honor Best in the World PPV drew in the area of 1,250 paid fans with some additional guests and comps in Baltimore...

Re: Best in the world 2021
In the past I've heard directly from people at ROH Baltimore was the highest comped shows because of the SBG employees and families. Last night was no exception. Obviously don't have the specific number but it's been north of 300 in the past.famicommander wrote: ↑Mon Jul 12, 2021 4:38 pmOdd phrasing on Mike Johnson's part then

Well until someone actually reports something to the contrary I'm rolling with what Mike Johnson said.
Re: Best in the world 2021
Lets say it's 300 comps. Almost 1,000 with odd seating is still very good.

Re: Best in the world 2021
It's been a little under 3 days but right now the BITW preshow is over 54,000 Youtube views.famicommander wrote: ↑Mon Jul 12, 2021 9:28 am For preshow viewership benchmark purposes.
So it's tracking slightly ahead of 19th Anniversary's Youtube preshow. About 2000 more viewers in a few hours less time. Not a major bounce but you can probably assume the slight increase holds true across the other platforms too (Honor Club, STIRR City, BOTP, Fite, Facebook Live, PPV carriers).
Will be interesting to check back by Death Before Dishonor to see if BITW has passed up the others in total views by then.
