Yeah. Same thing happened with Nigel/Angle. They had a street fight within two or three weeks on TV. Wasted potential.

It didn't even finish properly - Nigel hit him with a lariat, and Angle was stretchered out almost before he hit the ground. Yeesh, at least let him get a pinfall first...

Also, if Russo booked ROH something like this would happen: On TV, Davey beats Strong clean, then at the next PPV wins a three-way with Strong and Eddie, pinning Eddie. Then, for the next PPV cycle, the #1 contender for the title is...Roderick Strong.

They did that a couple of years ago when AJ was champ, beating Daniels on TV before a PPV three-way also involving Joe, and because Joe took the fall the enxt contender was daniels...who AJ beat clean on free TV a month earlier.

Also, the Main Event of 10YA would be there to set up an angle on TV.

One of the things Russo hated about wwf before he took the book was Doink, so I don't think something like this would happen.
