News on Chicago's TV Taping

Post by TYFDK »

Ring of Honor heads to Chicago on March 2nd and 3rd for back-to-back action at the Frontier Fieldhouse! The first night we present our “11th Anniversary Event” LIVE ON iPPV featuring Jay Lethal challenging Kevin Steen for the World Title, The Briscoes defending their tag titles against redDRagon (Bobby Fish & Kyle O'Reilly), Adam Cole defending the TV Title against the winner of the 2013 Top Prospect Tournament, and a dream tag match between The American Wolves & The Forever Hooligans!

The second day we tape “Ring of Honor Wrestling” TV in Chicago Ridge, the site of the very first ROH SBG TV Tapings, and not only do we have the list of talent signed on for that afternoon event but we also have two huge matches to announce!

First up, since their contest at “Final Battle 2012” that saw Matt Hardy defeat ROH Television Champion Adam Cole in a non-title affair with a low blow, the tensions have been building between the two men. In this week's edition of ROH TV, Match Maker Nigel McGuinness brought Hardy and Cole out to the ring together and the situation ended up in a pull apart brawl. Now, with both men wanting the match, Nigel has signed it AND with the TV title on the line! Watch upcoming episodes of ROH TV to see how this story unfolds and just why Nigel decided to give Hardy his long awaited shot...

Second, it was announced recently that The Forever Hooligans, Rocky Romero & Alex Koslov, would be coming back to Ring of Honor for the first time in several years and facing The American Wolves on March 2nd. In addition to that, Nigel McGuinness has also determined that on March 3rd Romero & Koslov will challenge for the ROH World Tag Team Titles when they face the winners of the Briscoes/Bobby Fish & Kyle O'Reilly Title Match the night before!

In addition to those two big matches, ROH officials have also signed the following wrestlers to appear/compete on March 3rd:

-Current ROH World Champion Kevin Steen
-The American Wolves (Davey Richards & Eddie Edwards)
-Jay Lethal
-"Unbreakable" Michael Elgin
-"The Outlaw" Charlie Haas
-Caprice Coleman & Cedric Alexander
-Roderick Strong
-BJ Whitmer
-ACH
-Tadarius Thomas
-"God's Gift" QT Marshall
-Grizzly Redwood
-Steve Corino
-Jimmy Jacobs
-Silas Young
-ROH Match Maker Nigel McGuinness

It's going to be a jam-packed weekend in Chicago Ridge so make sure you are there live and in-person as we celebrate our “11th Anniversary” with two huge events in the Frontier Fieldhouse! Tickets for the March 2nd iPPV event can be purchased right HERE and ones for the March 3rd TV Taping are available HERE!

Thank God we won't be getting Cole/Hardy on iPPV again. Should make for a good TV Main Event though...

Romero & Kozlov vs. either The Briscoes or FIsh & O'Reilly should be good as well...

The Cole Hardy match kind of spoils the result of the TV title match at the iPPV particularly as they made the effort to say that the champions in the tag title match could be either the Briscoes or redDRagon.
