Trent Baretta?

WWE has released Trent Baretta from his contract. Baretta has been with the company since 2008 and first appeared on WWE TV along with Caylen Croft. Baretta is already booked for PWS for WrestleMania weekend in Metuchen, NJ against Sonjay Dutt

So as some of you may already know by now, Trent Baretta has been released from his WWE contract, he's even tweeted to confirm his release. My question is, Should ROH look to bring him in?

Personally, I'd say yes, he'd be a solid addition to the midcard scene. There's no question that this guy has talent and it's nice to see he's already taking indie bookings by appearing at PWS. He's more than capable of working a good match, even with the chains of WWE's version of wrestling he's had some great matches on NXT recently with the likes of Chris Hero & Curt Hawkins. To me if Sinclair are looking to bring in names that have been in WWE, then this is the type of talent they should be aiming to bring instead of the likes of Headbangers etc...

Thoughts?

Yeah Baretta is good, his matches with Hawkins were great. Wouldn't have problem.

He was really good in NXT, i wouldn´t mind to see him have a few matches with ROH

I haven't seen a lot of Baretta, but I was always kind of indifferent to him. If he's cheap, give him a tryout, as it couldn't hurt he doesn't seem to be a bad wrestler, but he's as far from name value as a former wwe star can get so I don't think they should look to spend anymore on him than they would a solid young indy guy like, say, ACH, unless he really steps up and shows himself to be something special.

So I watched a few of his more competitive matches on superstars last night and he's better than I thought. Still very lacking in certain areas though. I definitely would like to see what he could do if given a tryout in ROH now.

Huge fan of tag-team wrestling so having another team that can put on a solid match is always a plus as far as I'm concerned.

I think Trent would be a good addition to the ROH roster. He's young, athletic and has experience. He's the type of guy ROH should bring in after WWE under utilizes them.

I remember when I 1st saw him as Plazma in NYWC, I thought he was a guy that could get a shot in ROH. I still think he should get a shot, and if the fans boo him then fine he doesn't get to be on the roster, but odds are they'll cheer him, because I think most ROH fans will know he got the shaft from WWE.

I don't consider Baretta washed-up like Matt Hardy, he was never given much of a shot in WWE. He's young, Hardy's old. Not a valid comparison Hardy & Baretta.

Trent was just announced for PWG's All Star Weekends in March

That will pretty much be his measuring stick for his indy career.

He is a very good highflyer that never really got a full chance to showcase everything he can do
