If there are any plans to raise the belt's prestige by booking this reign, make sure Ishii jobs the tv title cleanly or have Omega put someone over. A bit too lopsided in the relationship right now.

New Japan of Honor
Re: Hiroshi Tanahashi wants Ring of Honor world title
Tanahashi coming to ROH often as champion is OK.
But we know Kojima & Tenzan got NWA world title but not goes NWA .

I would love to see this because I'm a Tanahashi mark, but I do think it would be a bad booking decision considering how the title would rarely be in ROH and would probably just get defended against Takahashi on obscure Road To shows. Plus, someone ending Lethal's awesome reign (had O'Reilly not been terribly booked and all he'd be my pick, but it could be whoever) would definitely solidify that person in the main event considering they're not already there.

Tanahashi would be the most important wrestler to ever hold the title after Punk & Danielson so i wouldn´t be against it, they should do it only if Tanahashi is able to drop the title though.
He can defend the title in Japan and come to ROH for TV Tapings/PPVs if that happen.

Re: Hiroshi Tanahashi wants Ring of Honor world title
I gleaned from the interview that Tanahashi could be building to a big title match. Without a cast-in-stone opponent at Best in the World, a hushed Lethal/Tanahashi program being orchestrated behind the creative door seems not unlikely. If Nakamura vs. Lethal was truly to take place at the 14YA, this would be a very worthy replacement to that conceived matchup.
Regarding Tanahasi’s potential role in the company, I really doubt ROH would put their most important championship belt on Tanahashi nor do I think that it would actually be gainful separate from the shock of immensity of the moment.

KUSHIDA said the exact same thing in an interview recently, he wants a ROH World title opportunity.

Tanahashi will probably challenge Lethal at Global Wars. Elgin will challenge Ishii. Tanahashi & Elgin will probably challenge War Machine on one of the tour shows.

Tanahashi is almost 40 with a bad back.

KUSHIDA had a good case for one, after beating Fish, right around the same time Fish got a shot.AssShooter wrote:KUSHIDA said the exact same thing in an interview recently, he wants a ROH World title opportunity.
This made me chuckle.“The ROH style is too fast,” said Tanahashi. “Everything is too fast, too quick. This one, next one, bam. You need to give the audience time to cheer. The audience cannot think when it is too fast. I hate when the style is too fast. There’s no limit when that happens.”
Tanahashi explained that the Young Bucks, comprised of Nick and Matt Jackson, and Kazuchika Okada are examples of workers who excel in delivering well-paced, logical storytelling in the ring.
