Re: G1 Climax 24 Spoilers Thread
Togi Makabe is off the Seibu Dome Show due to his jaw injury. BUSHI will be taking his place, and it is now BUSHI/Nakanishi/Nagata vs. The Bullet Club (Takahashi/Gallows/Fale).
Re: G1 Climax 24 Spoilers Thread
Hopefully that match lasts 45 seconds. Hopefully the first 3 matches last a combined 45 seconds actually.
Re: G1 Climax 24 Spoilers Thread
Dave, do you not enjoy Yano at all? I understand his matches are never going to be of a star rating quality, but they're all so much fun and a great change of pace. TBH I'd rather see Yano than Makabe/Goto/Yujiro/Tenzan/Fale/Benjamin etc

Being a little harsh, don't you think?ROHFan25 wrote:Hopefully that match lasts 45 seconds. Hopefully the first 3 matches last a combined 45 seconds actually.
Besides, I have a feeling this is going to be a long show (like Tokyo Dome Show long), so I think all the matches will get time.

Talking about Meltzer?ROHFan25 wrote:Dave, do you not enjoy Yano at all? I understand his matches are never going to be of a star rating quality, but they're all so much fun and a great change of pace. TBH I'd rather see Yano than Makabe/Goto/Yujiro/Tenzan/Fale/Benjamin etc
Re: G1 Climax 24 Spoilers Thread
I don't mind Yano. Some of his matches are funny, others are dumb. The lance Archer tourny match was funny. I recall the crowd doing the lance ar-cher at one point and a yano tor-u (rvd thumbs)ROHFan25 wrote:Dave, do you not enjoy Yano at all? i do appreciate a break in a typical new japan 10 match card where everything else is so intense. yano does provide a good breather

Re: G1 Climax 24 Spoilers Thread
That's a bit harsh on Honma-Naito, Goto-Shibata, reDRagon-Time Splitter, Ishii-Anderson and even Kingdom-Liger&Tiger
Re: G1 Climax 24 Spoilers Thread
Fuck, yeah definitely watch reDRagon/TimeSplitters. That match was great. Actually thought that was up to par with AJ/Tanahashi. Kingdom match was better than I expected. Was fine but nothing you need to see. Honma/Naito was meh. Ishii/Anderson was also meh but understandable. Ishii is a fucking warrior. That botch was unbelievably scary though. Ishii needs time off. Bring him back at WK9. Goto/Shibata I hated.

Pretty sure the Bucks are done with NJPW for a while now. Think they were just doing a 1 year deal. Not much they can really do since NJPW doesn't really care too much about the Jr division.

I wouldn't be surprised to see them back for Destruction.

Re: G1 Climax 24 Spoilers Thread
Haven't seen anything that indicates they're done with New Japan. Yes they lost the Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Titles, but that doesn't mean they're finished with the promotion.

Re: G1 Climax 24 Spoilers Thread
A lot of people thought Shelley was done with New Japan not long back, but he just took a short break.

Re: G1 Climax 24 Spoilers Thread
They apparently drew 18,000 for the final. Huge number, but I assume booking an arena that seats 33,000 they were hoping for better.
