NJPW Thread
Re: The NJPW Thread
did Omega ever come out and say he was returning to New Japan in any place other than the Elite videos on youtube?
I don't remember seeing anyone make a big deal of it anywhere.

Here's hoping Shibata beats Bad Luck Fale and wins his first singles tournament.

Re: The NJPW Thread
Katsuyori Shibata has won the New Japan Cup!
He issued a challenge to Okada, so we're getting Okada vs. Shibata at Sakura Genesis.

Re: The NJPW Thread
I'm not up to date on my NJPW history. Has the cup winner ever walked away with the IWGP title from this tournament win?
Re: The NJPW Thread
Nagata did in 2008 or 2007 (not sure but know it happened). But more recently Okada and Nakamura did it in the last 5 years. It's how Naito won the title too.

I'm a NJPW fan but I'd rather see Disco Inferno than Shibata.
If you've never seen him then you won't understand.

Yeah, this match should fucking kill, but I don't see them putting the title on Shibata unfortunately.King of Indy Style wrote:Shibata vs. Okada......gonna be fanfuckingtastic. I love New Japan.

I would rather see the Invisible Man than see Disco Inferno. Glenn Gilberti couldn't draw flies standing over a pile of crap.

Re: The NJPW Thread
There's a really good chance that War Machine makes their PWG debuts as IWGP Tag Champs. That kicks so much ass.
Re: The NJPW Thread
I think War Machine grabs the straps much sooner than later.
