Re: The NJPW Thread
i agree, looks like an excellent card.
i don't care how many times, Okada/Tanahashi wrestle, it's always a great match.
I'm also excited about nakamura/marifuji.
I don't think Yujiro has a chance at winning, so that lessens that match for me. But I do like Yujiro's gimmick and should be a good match.
ishii/shibata should be a stiff match.
Suzuki/Yano have a godo rivalry ongoing, pretty funny stuff.
Jr tag match should be solid too

Re: The NJPW Thread
This could end up as Show Of The Year. Other than your typical 8 Man everything looks like it could be fun/good/awesome.thecanadiandragon wrote:Lineup for the 10/14 King of Pro Wrestling PPV from New Japan from Sumo Hall in Tokyo: (Source:

MOOSE!
Re: The NJPW Thread
Unfortunately I'm still behind on G1, but I watched Tanahashi/Ishii for the first time on Night 2 and it was a fantastic match. Definitely a MOTY contender.
Re: The NJPW Thread
So it turns out I'll be in Tokyo in time for the next NJPW iPPV.

Re: The NJPW Thread
did you guys see the Destruction PPV sunday?
i thought the lumberjack match between Tanahashi/Devitt was 4.5* range. so well booked and some great spots and near falls. good crowd for it too, fully behind Tanahashi

Re: The NJPW Thread
Destruction was a great show, but King of Pro Wrestling 2013 has the potential to be Show of the Year in all of wrestling.
IMO, Okada vs Tanahashi needs to go to another draw, that way when the score is 2 wins for Okada, 2 wins for Tanahashi and 2 draws, they can make their 7th match the all time classic it can be!

Re: The NJPW Thread
And have their 7th match kick off '14 with Naito perhaps ending '13 just short? Love that idea ...thecanadiandragon wrote:Destruction was a great show, but King of Pro Wrestling 2013 has the potential to be Show of the Year in all of wrestling.

LOVE this card even more. Too bad Ishii and Shibata can't be as good as their Climax match (I dare say ...)

Wow, that card looks great.
Were there any matches from Destruction worth going out of my way to see? It sounds like Tanahashi vs Devitt is worthwhile; any others?

Re: The NJPW Thread
G1 Finals was excellent, Tanahashi was easily the MVP of the tournament. Ishii was the breakout star, I didn't think Ishii was anything special before these shows. I want to see Okada vs. Ishii for the title in the future.

I'm tired of Time Splitters/Forever Hooligans already damn it.
Re: The NJPW Thread
Okada said he will forfeit the title if the match goes to a draw. I hope not! The link I posted below is a good Puro news blog, follow it or follow him on Twitter.

Yes terrible finish as ref messed up big time. only took away a 1/4 star for me though. that was still best match of the night imoDieHard wrote:NJPW G1 Climax 2013 Day One Review:
