I ended up watching it on Sunday. Good show. I always enjoy GCW and like going when they are in the area (I'm attending the next Asbury Park show at the end of this month). I kind of wish they would do some storylines once in a while. Sometimes after the show I think about it and come to the conclusion that the show had no point to it. At least this one had Deppen winning the vibrant tho name his next match at Spring Break.

Entertaining as always. I love Deppen but like I mentioned earlier, this match with Starr may be his best performance left. The 7 man scramble is always fun. It was my first time seeing Mick Moretti live and he was impressive. Justice and Dickinson may not be for everyone as watching unprotected chair shots isn't the same as it was 20 years ago.

I attended NGI and So Much Fun. The NGI took place outside of the Showboat Hotel (but not Casino) in the Sandlot. I liked the location on the pier that was used earlier in the year better but you can't break all that glass right above the ocean. Thankfully it was a beautiful day with an unseasonable high of 70 degrees. I didn't realize it was pretty much a deathmatch show which isn't my cup of tea. I don't mind death matches but a whole show of them kind of numbs me to the danger and shock I'm supposed to feel. The best part of the show should have been the G-Raver return and turn on Jimmy Lloyd but one bad thing about the GCW crowd is they rather yell stupid things from the crowd than listen to the promo and get emotionally invested. Since I didn't know G-Raver had already started wrestling again I bit and thought he was retiring and setting Jimmy Lloyd on fire was a nice touch that fits GCW.

So Much Fun took place the next day and was inside the Showboat Hotel. On a personal note this was my first indoor wrestling show since the start of the pandemic. Seats were well spaced out and there were a lot less people there compared to Run Ricky Run. Contentwise this show was much better. I recommend checking out Jordan Oliver vs. Juicy Finau, Blake Christian vs. Lio Rush, and Tony Deppen vs. Alex Zayne. I really liked Jordan and Juicy. For as young as Jordan is his selling is fantastic and did a great job of helping Juicy seem like a legitimate threat someone his size should be taken as while still getting himself over as a true heavyweight that he is becoming.

Thats some pretty big news. Too bad for Matt Cardona.

Hate to say it, but this is bad news for ROH... at least in the short term, if nothing else. Like it or not; I imagine Moxley and Gage will draw by itself. Think the battle for the 4th US promotion between ROH & MLW; think you can put GCW in that conversation now.

It's cool ROH started running shows again, but like there's no sense of urgency. No desire to grab media attention, no desire to help grow the brand, same old booking. The shows have been pretty good; just a majority of people don't even know.

I'm not really a GCW fan; and just don't think it's for me. I used to love ECW; as a teen. Now; all the death match stuff is just dumb. Cool, if you like it, but not for me.

I'm not a big fan of titles changing hands in non-matches. Gage and Moxley didn't need the title to be involved anyway.

As someone who has been to a lot of GCW and ROH shows, it's a completely different vibe. GCW definitely would be considered cooler. The big shows feel like a giant party. ROH used to feel that way but really hasn't since The Elite left. They haven't been able to recapture that magic yet.

GCW has a lot of non-death matches. Most of is is high spot matches like the scramble match from last night but sometimes you can get a real good wrestling match if Deppen, Dickinson or if Gresham is making a special appearance.
