Yeah, I’m not watching anymore. Saw Battle Riot and lost interest after that. Especially since it’s on VICe

I was at both TV tapings and I'll say the first show was better than the second. I haven't had a chance to watch any of the Fusion episodes yet, I'm way behind on my TV wrestling in general. I do get Vice so I have to start recording that show and see how it comes off on tv.

A new report has viewership numbers for MLW Fusion’s run on beIN Sports. Wrestlenomics’ Brandon Thurston has historical numbers for the show, which began in 2018.

The site reports that the yearly quarter-by-quarter numbers for the show has been as follows:

Q2 2018: 5,100 viewers
Q3 2018: 3,600 viewers
Q4 2018: 8,100 viewers (9,300 with beIN Sports Espanol)
Q1 2019: 10,800 viewers (12,400 with beIN Sports Espanol)
Q2 2019: 4,400 viewers (6,800 with beIN Sports Espanol)
Q3 2019: 7,600 viewers (8,700 with beIN Sports Espanol)
Q4 2019: 7,600 viewers (9,700 with beIN Sports Espanol)
Q1 2020: 14,200 viewers (16,900 with beIN Sports Espanol)
Q2 2020: 9,200 viewers
Q3 2020: 11,400 viewers
Q4 2020: 7,800 viewers
Q1 2021: 4,600 viewers
Q2 2021: 2,300 viewers

The report notes that the 2021 decline coincides with the fact that beIN being available in less households in the US, down from 16 million in 2020 to 10 million. The show has moved a bit on beIN’s schedule over the years, starting at 8 PM ET on Friday nights and them moving to Saturdays at 9 PM in February of 2019. In March of 2020, the show moved to 10 PM on Saturdays.

The show airs not just on beIN Sports, but also on several other platforms including YouTube.

MLW President Court Bauer gave Thurston a statement which read:

“beIN has been a good partner and we’re now in our third deal with them as we outperform most of their other programming. The big soccer games still crush. We’re talking about expanding [on beIN Sports] with an MLW Challengers series. It would be 30 minutes, filmed in Miami. Possibly live. TBD. My goal is always to put eyes on the series, plus rights fees. So, that’s why we don’t just do beIN for Fusion. We do Fubo Sports Network, YouTube, Roku Channel, beIN, beIN Español, etc.”

As noted in his comments, MLW Fusion airs on multiple platforms with the majority of fans having access to episodes on YouTube.

That's a huge surprise announcement. Love the guy. He'll bring them some badly needed buzz

If there are two shows I think Fusion will stay on BeIN, Fubo, and DAZN to become the B-show while Vice gets a newly branded A-show.

If this is just more distribution for Fusion and there is no second show then I imagine they'll simply pull Fusion off Youtube and start airing it on Vice while nothing else really changes.
PWInsuder is reporting this isn’t replacing the DAZN or BeIN deals.

“The ViceTV deal is not replacing the current deals with DAZN and BeIn Sport, PWInsider.com is told, In fact, the opposite is the case as Court Bauer is seeking to get MLW on as many broadcast and streaming platforms as possible with the idea of creating unique programming across the board when needed for as many deals as they can lock in. The mindset is that before, you wanted to be in one place but today, you want to entrench yourself in as many places as possible to maximize revenue and allow for different choices for fans to consume the content. If they can lock in five deals and need to create content for all five of those deals, that will be their priority.”

Just another channel to watch the same show. No financials of course. Another “big dollar deal” LMAO.
I was already aware that the DAZN, and Fubo, and BeIN deals were not being affected. That just means Fusion is staying there, as well as on Fubo. That does not confirm either way whether the Vice show is new or if it's Fusion. And it does not tell us whether the show will stay on Youtube or not.

Either way, there is no possible way this can be spun as a bad thing. Vice is a national cable outlet and Dark Side drew 200,000-400,000 viewers per week in season 2. Whether this is an ad-split deal, an ad-split+production costs deal, or a small rights fee deal it instantly bumps MLW up several levels from where they were prior. This puts them within spitting distance of Impact. It's possible they could even outdraw Impact's AXS numbers.
You were saying? 2,000 on BeIn and you claim that only “Indians watch YouTube”. So basically nobody watches MLW. Not even close to Impact. Just another attempt of yours to push your own opinions as facts.

Show me anywhere that I have made claims about the viewership on BeIN. Go ahead. I'll help you out. From the very first page of this thread:
Their viewership numbers on BeIn Sports are in the four digits, so they can't be rolling in cash.
I never claimed the BeIN numbers were big or bigger than Youtube. I said that BeIN had to be paying more than they were getting from Youtube ad revenue, and I backed that up with the basic deduction that Court pulled the show off Youtube but renewed his deal with BeIN at the same time he got the Fubo Sports deal. So at that particular point in time, the revenue he was getting from Youtube was so insignificant that he was willing to drop it entirely despite not being required to by the BeIN or Fubo deals. He had some fans complain on Twitter so he changed his mind some weeks later.

My argument reduced to: a few thousand viewers on BeIN or Fubo were worth more monetarily than tens or hundreds of thousands of Youtube viewers. But you've never, ever been able to comprehend that.

I never, anywhere, at any point, said they were beating Impact, either.

The post you quoted literally says that this Vice deal could put them within spitting distance of Impact, and we'll find out very soon how Fightland did on Vice and will easily be able to compare that to Impact.

Dark Side of the Ring: 0.05 rating, 137,000 viewers
Impact: 0.02 rating, 111,000 viewers
MLW Fightland: 0.01 rating, 40,000 viewers

Dark Side of the Ring has really tanked this season compared to last season. They were regularly popping 300,000+ and now they're about half that.

Very poor performance for MLW, too. No sugar coating that.

I think the moment has passed for both Dark Side and MLW on Vice.

All of you were right about the way this deal came together. They shouldn't have announced anything at all until they were ready to air new content every single week.

I had figured Dark Side could carry MLW to some decent numbers but MLW failed to retain even half of Dark Side's audience and Dark Side has failed to retain even half the audience they had when the MLW deal was announced.

WWE got Fox to nix a deal that would've been announced in August between MLW and the streaming service Tubi, which Fox owns.

To be fair, I think that has to do with the notoriety of the subjects. The Brody and Benoit incidents are well-known and still talked about to this day. Johnny K9? Not so much.

Good point. I knew who Johnny k9 was but none of my friends did so a few skipped it and watched the mlb playoffs.

I heard about Cobb. I heard about Enzo this afternoon. Not sure how i feel about this. MLW does do well with trouble makers.

Imagine he is the mystery man in the War Chamber match. That would be awful.

I did. Pretty decent so far. I've been watching Alexander Hammerstone for years, I'm happy for his success.
