I believe Double or Nothing will be available on the Bleacher Report App. I don't know what the pricing structure will be for that. I assume that they will provide other content for the app besides just large events.dhads7161 wrote: ↑Thu May 16, 2019 4:36 am My only problem is the dated $50 PPV model. I guess I can see why, they don't have the content to offer a streaming service like NJ World yet but $50 is steep. Shame because primary market ticket prices were so great for Double or Nothing. Highest tickets face value were nearly $100 less than G1 Supercard or G1 Climax Dallas tickets.
They haven't run one show yet and we're already here. Yikes. ~ JSMemphis Mark wrote: ↑Thu May 16, 2019 4:19 pm How long will the AEW honeymoon last ? Omega , The Bucks , Y2J and The Rhodes brothers are going to have the top spots. Will PAC, Page , SCU , the Best Friends and the rest be happy on the under card . I give it 6 months to a year before reality sets in for the under card workers. Only so much room at the top .
Also factor in the speculation of AEW signing CM Punk and Jon Moxley along with the push from people for like everybody from WWE to go there. Where is there going to be room for everybody? One of the things that always causes backstage problems in promotions that want to be competition is when they keep relying on signing WWE names. The WWE names will come in and take spots from the already existing roster members.Memphis Mark wrote: ↑Thu May 16, 2019 4:19 pm How long will the AEW honeymoon last ? I think that's what the two summer shows are going to be. Fyter Fest has The Elite vs. PAC & Lucha Bros, Jebailey vs. Michael Nakazawa, as well as Cody vs. Darby Allin. Fight for the Fallen has Brandi vs. Allie and Omega vs. Cima confirmed.maxx_powerz wrote: ↑Fri May 17, 2019 5:26 am I'll be curious as to the business model once TV starts. As far as, will all of the content be either TV or PPV like WWE, or will VOD shows be part of the schedule like ROH. I would imagine it's easier to keep everyone happy if there's VOD because you can main event a random show with Best Friends / Young Bucks or Pac / Omega or whatever because you have more content to fill, whereas the PPV/TV only model probably will have a heavy focus on the Bucks, Cody, Kenny & Jericho at first.
Ultimately though, SCU, Best Friends & Page were midcard guys in ROH, so even if they are just midcard guys in AEW, they'll be doing it on TNT with their friends, so I can't imagine much of an issue.
But they aren't really house shows or really story line driven, they are special events that have there own reason for having wrestling matches rather than being anything to do with TV.dhads7161 wrote: ↑Fri May 17, 2019 12:10 pmI think that's what the two summer shows are going to be.
