Re: WWE Global Cruiserweight Series/Cruiserweight Classic
Awesome to see Kota Ibushi & Tyson Dux in there. Honestly have no issues with Brian Kendrick or Tajiri being in there. Having some past WWE Cruiserweights in there isn't a bad things at all.
I also see GFW's Tag Team Champions The Bollywood Boyz in there...

Re: WWE Global Cruiserweight Series/Cruiserweight Classic
Clement Petiot was described as a bodybuilder by Meltzer but he was trained by Lance Storm along with Joey Ryan and seems pretty good in the ring.
I hate that the term bodybuilder has a negative connotation to it in pro wrestling.

Re: WWE Global Cruiserweight Series/Cruiserweight Classic
Well fuck, Amazing Red was supposed to be in this but recently had botched knee surgery that is just now healing after a corrective procedure.

Per the same source that told me about Ibushi working Evolve in Dallas and the ROH unhappy names:
This concept was not only Bryan Danielson's idea, but he handpicked the talent.

Here is the official bracket:
Re: WWE Global Cruiserweight Series/Cruiserweight Classic
Good gravy we might get ZSJ vs Ibushi for the finals.
Re: WWE Global Cruiserweight Series/Cruiserweight Classic
Can anyone use Photoshop or something to scribble in the winners of the first round from last month into the brackets?

Re: WWE Global Cruiserweight Series/Cruiserweight Classic
To me, based on the brackets, I think it's pretty clear that we're getting Tozawa, ZSJ, Ibushi, & Gargano in the Final Four (or, at least, that's my hope).
Re: WWE Global Cruiserweight Series/Cruiserweight Classic
Early reports on Cedric Alexander vs Kota Ibushi make it sound like a MotY contender.

Yeah, I saw a number of rave reviews of that match from those who saw it live.JTCole wrote:Early reports on Cedric Alexander vs Kota Ibushi make it sound like a MotY contender.

I don't know if I'd call Alexander vs Ibushi my MotY yet but it's damn close.

I've heard some preliminary names for both there's a lot of reason to be optimistic.
