I posted this on NeoGaf, hope it is of help here too...

WWE Network – Must see PPV matches

Having access to pretty much every PPV from WWE, WCW and ECW means we can now load up a VOD and jump straight to some of the very best matches from American wrestling history.

Here are the best matches from each available year, I will update the OP as often as I can and if there is a must see match not listed let me know and i’ll add it. Question for those who have it:

-Can you watch on multiple screens (computers) simultaneously? My buddy and I both want to get it (live on opposite sides of the country), so could we just get one account and split the cost? Or are you only allowed to watch from one screen, or one internet location, at once?

I'd say Bill Goldberg vs Scott Steiner is the best WCW 2000 PPV match worth seeing.

Also decided to torture myself and watch some more WCW 2000 shows. Ah yes, the infamous Goldberg heel turn. It's like the company hated making money and tried to do everything to fail in the most spectacular way possible.

Just got done watching Bash at the Beach 1996. On the whole, I'd say it was a solid show. The cruiserweights and the real wrestlers stole the show (Mysterio, Psychosis, Malenko, etc...), and the main event was actually a good match even with the No Contest Finish. The Hogan Heel turn still comes off great to this day, obviously.

I'm onto Wrestlewar '90: Wild Thing! Which features a ridiculously lame intro, complete with a WCW inspired rap! Only half way through, as I watch these late at night and usually pass out, but the highlights so far are Midnight Express vs. Rock n Roll Express (did these guys revolutionize tag team wrestling or what?) and the Legion of Doom just brawling with everyone they can get their hands on. One question: Why are Doom (Ron Simmons and Butch Reed) jobbers??? They look imposing as hell, and definitely on par with LOD, so why do they continually job to everyone?

Had I just watched Flair/Steamboat from Wrestlewar '89 I would have missed the 2 minute classic TV Title bout between Sting and Sheiky Baby. Also, the post match beatdown after Flair vs. Steamboat is definitely worth watching. Terry Funk is incredible. And Dick Murdoch vs. Bob Orton Jr. is supremely entertaining, in a trainwreck sorta way [cornette]
They actually built those two crap matches you mentioned, BTW. Though Murdock was out the door shortly thereafter (maybe it was a last gasp to see if they could put him over), and Orton was around for like a total of 3 months. The Shiek got a big to do when he popped up, which was why it shocking he was put down so quickly. He then petered out after an abortive attempt to make him, Ron Simmons, and the Cuban Assassin into a stable on TV. Eventually they worked the turned Simmons into a tag team under a mask as Doom, which did work, so it wasn't all for nothing.

And yes, Funk was gold then.
I am loving Doom so far, but as mentioned in my post above, they seem to already be groomed as jobbers to the stars. Also, I really enjoyed both those crap matches, even if they were crapfests, haha. Actually Sheik vs. Stinger wasn't that bad, as it was just a showcase to put Sting over hard, and it worked!

Funk is always gold. The man has been seriously entertaining for what, like a forty plus year career? :D

I doubled up on WCW PPV's last night and watched Hog Wild. Still do not understand why it was a completely free show for everyone in attendance. Completely stupid move. The show itself I think describes WCW PPV's in a nutshell: Solid Undercard (for the most part, with a few great matches) and a shitty Main Event.

Figured. I know he's a big motorcycle guy, but you'd think they would at least charged something...especially since this was the first PPV after Hogan turned heel.

Because Eric wasn't using his own money, he was using Ted Turner's. That's why Vince eventually won, his own funds were on the line and if he failed he was out on his ass. Now at the start Bischoff's job was on the line and was driven to succeed because of that but after his initial victories he got complacent and that was his downfall.

Weirdly enough they seemingly got less racist over time. At the 1999 event Booker and Stevie got mostly positive reactions, or at least weren't straight up booed.

Doom under masks and with Woman as their manager: they were competitive jobbers. Once Teddy Long took over and they ditched the masks then they started kicking ass, eventually getting the tag team straps, though annoyingly they were never booked strong against the Horsemen.

As a side note, if you ever watch the Starcarde 90 you'll see a huge out of nowhere pop for the one night only reuniting of Sid and Spivey as the Skyscrapers. It was really weird since they had always been booed as heels and hadn't been around that long to boot (Sid punctured a lung and was replaced by pre Undertaker 'Mean Mark Calloway'.) Sadly, they had already made plans for Sid to be a Horseman and didn't want to change them.

Malenko Benoit is still one of my favorite matches in WCW from that time. Classic between the two given the time it should.

Technical wise Giant vs Hogan was bad, but at the time it was great seeing heel Hogan. And it was still better than him ME against Brutus 'The Butcher' Beefcake like 6 months earlier. Oh god my eyes bled seeing that horrible thing.

Hogan/Beefcake was Starrcade 1994, more like 20 months earlier. But yeah it was still horrible.

Anyone else missing PPV's on the Xbox 360 app? I don't see WCW or ECW ppv's at all, and some of the WWE ones, Wrestlemania being the most glaring example, will only let you select the most recent year

Okay, see if you Network subscribers can help me out.

Just a question or two about the WWE Network.

I know you have to make a six month commitment. Does that mean you pay the entire $60 up front, or do you pay the ten bucks a month for six months?

Are there many buffering issues, or does it run smooth?

Thanks for the help.

$10 a month.

Personally, the live streams are always fine but the buffering is hit and miss on VOD.
