It's been reported by both The Observer & PWInsider that part of the deal with TNA & GFW is that TNA Talents can now work GFW events.

Cheap internet buzz for what'll probably be their last PPV is my guess.

Wow. They are running a wrestling card in Erie the same day Cleavland hosts AIW's Absolution card. I think the only saving grace is it's already sold out. If they wanted to draw, they picked the wrong day for that.

If the show wasn't sold out already, and if anyone had a choice between AIW & GFW, Absolution X would be a no brainer. That card has a lot going for it.

Are you going to Absolution X, by the way? You've been to AIW shows, right?

I've been to one (2nd Night of this years JTL). It's a bit far for me for a one day trip to and fro, so I'll probably only go to good cards like this one. Luckily I did get the ticket before they sold out. So yes, I will be.

From today's Observer update:
--Some of the TNA talent that is gone, is actually being transferred as part of an invasion angle. The expectation is that any TNA talent who is in GFW, James Storm in particular, would be on TNA TV somewhat soon. There may be other transfers. We've got a major story on this in the next issue.

For those who missed it, Nick Aldis aka Magnus has officially "Joined The Force". He'll be at all three ballpark shows next weekend.

- Seiya Sanada
- Kongo Kong
- Takaaki Watanabe
- Allysin Kay
- Taeler Hendrix
- Melanie Cruise

IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion KUSHIDA is scheduled to work the debut TV tapings for Global Force Wrestling.
Those tapings take place on July 24th at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas.

I'm going to the 7/9 show weather permitting. First time at a ballpark show, should be interesting. Roster looks pretty good. Looking forward to Bullet Club vs OI4K.

Observer:
One thing regarding the GFW interpromotional feud angle, a lot of people are negative about it thinking it won't work. And in a company whose business is mostly ratings, the first week was a terrible blow. But as far as keeping the TV deal as is, this is Hail Mary time and you have to try. The big question that is unanswered is if DA doesn't change its mind about cancellation, does DA want them off the air so they have the time slot for their own programming in the fall, or would they accept a deal, like they have with ROH, for maybe an hour or two hours, where the programming is provided for free. If TNA has no other TV options, it at least keeps them alive in the U.S. The slashing costs and not signing talent whose contracts are up are lowing overhead. The ROH precedent makes you think it's possible. The negative is if word gets out that TNA is providing programming for free, it'll become even harder to get anyone to pay for it, and DA will probably never pay for it again. But with time running out, it is a scenario that keeps the perception of them as a living breathing television wrestling promotion in the U.S. alive.

For Jarrett, he's got to do whatever he can for attention and this has at least gotten attention, and it gives him access to some good talent which is in a new setting. Remember, A.J. Styles couldn't draw at all with the TNA brand, and then he left and was headlining to far bigger houses in most places he went, and that was happening even before New Japan made him IWGP champion.
