I really have enjoyed the Bar together. They habe knocked it out of the park all year. As much as I wanted to see the Ambrose & Rollins vs. Usoa match at Survivor Series it was rather fitting that we saw The Bar vs. The Usos as both teams have really beem at a different level.

I'm not sure why i still bother watching... but the writing/booking on the NYE Raw might be the worst in recent memory. The bad:

- goldust team with Cedric Alexanders out of no where. I assume the thought process is to put a established veteran in with the young guys but still, where is this really going to lead.

- Finn Balor happily joining his old friends ANderson/Gallows. Although cool/fun and glad Finn was happy, it's poor writing just to throw 2 heels with one face and no backstory, or building involved. What happened to the Finn/Itami team they made up a couple weeks back??

- The Brock/Kane/Braun feud has zero steam. Braun is still recovering from Brock squashed him a few months back (when he should have won)

Throwing Elias with the miztourage, wouldn't be so bad, but you have a handful of other new alliances.

-I know it wasn't this week but throwing Jason Jordan in with Seth Rollins recently to win the tag belts. I just hope they have a decent match for rollins at Mania.

- They haven't completed ruin the hardy/wyatt feud yet, but i can only imagine they will screw it up before long.

I'm normally pretty fair , but i can't help but think Brock as champ and 3 hours Raws have really hurt the brand this year. Other than Roman, literally no one on Raw is an option to win the men's Royal Rumble. So basically they've built zero stars in the past year. I gues you could they say built up Braun, but they fed him to Lesnar already.

All in all, Smackdown is a much better product. Just sad how poorly Raw in 2017 was handled.

Observer:
Spoiler: show
Right now, the two top matches for Mania are scheduled as Lesnar vs. Reigns and Cena vs. Undertaker. So unless Undertaker changes his mind, and given how hard they promoted him for the 25th Raw and his being backstage at TV in Birmingham on 1/9, it makes that seem unlikely, one would expect the angle for Cena vs. Undertaker to be shot in two weeks on the 25th Raw
Samoa Joe was injured on the 1/8 Raw show. According to Dr. Chris Amann, during his match with Rhyno, he felt a pop at the bottom of his foot. The early diagnosis was a plantar fascia rupture, which is a thick tissue rupture under the foot. He’ll be getting an MRI to confirm the diagnosis. The treatment looks to be crutches, a walking boot and platelet rich plasma injections. He could be out for as little as two weeks or as long as two months, so he shouldn’t miss WrestleMania but it’s touch-and-go for Royal Rumble, which he was heavily figured into.

Life just keeps on hitting that girl in the face. Some of it her own fault, some of it out of her control. Regardless, it's never a good thing when an injury ends someone's career. Hope she finds something else in life to make her happy and keep her on track.

So Strowman can pick up a semi truck but Roman can still put him down with a spear?

Of all the things to care about, actors and wrestlers taking steroids is so far from my list it's not even funny.

Since the authors didn't do it--content warning for the article, which contains an account of the sexual assault and other abuses. It's graphic, and pretty despicable.

Which was the reaction from us all, really. An ABYSMAL show considering would should be such an easy lob. Folks from the Manhattan Center were robbed. I have no idea how a company the size of WWE could have permitted a show of that scale to be sold in the hundreds of dollars. Extremely irresponsible.

Apparently I made a wise decision by skipping this show, and this is the only one I have skipped in YEARS with the exception of night my grandmother died... and even then I still watched the first hour. What does that say about them that someone who is already an engaged viewer was actively chased off by the way they promoted this show?

I didn't even watch. I don't think I'm going to watch ANY WWE programming live this year. If a match or segment happens that everybody says is awesome maybe I'll try to track it down after the fact, but there's too much good wrestling out there to put up with WWE, AAA, or TNA's crap.

I find it hard to find time to keep up with ROH, NJPW, LU (at least there's an off season), and CMLL. Let alone PWG, Evolve, Dragon Gate, RevPro, DDT, etc. Even AJPW is on the upswing.

At this point it appears nothing at the top has changed for WrestleMania. As of right now the plan is for The Miz to defend the IC title against Braun Strowman, which is why Miz’s win was as clean as it was, since the IC title will be one of the biggest matches at Mania. But a lot can change. There are people who believe Strowman should win the three-way at the Rumble and it’s the time to make him champion, but at least after Raw that was not the way McMahon was thinking. The allegations last week against Reigns were described to us as a non-issue as far as potential cold feet on pulling the trigger on Reigns at this year’s Mania after a couple of pullbacks of plans to do the same dating back three years.
