Observer:
We’re told WWE is prioritizing the idea of a South American star. That’s probably where the Taynara Conti push comes from, because she looks like they want a star to look and is a real athlete. Cezar Bononi has the size and look, and picked up realistic selling, almost at Japan quality in spots, but he’s still very green
Brie Bella is targeting November to start training for a comeback and would like to be back in the ring by January.
Jax (Saveline Fanene, 33) has apparently taken a leave of absence from the promotion for personal reasons according to a number of reports going around and sources we have indicate that is accurate, but WWE has officially denied that story being accurate. She has been pulled from some appearances and among the wrestlers the word was she asked for a leave of absence for reasons not explained. She is still booked on the European tour and when asking company officials when she’s expected back on the road, and if she’ll be on the European tour, they said that she never left. There is talk about her being unhappy with her creative, which does make sense since her creative really hasn’t made sense of late. What is weird is that she tweeted on 10/16 about being excited for Raw, but she was never even at Raw. They had done an angle where she gave Bliss the electric chair and challenged her for the title, which they’d spent months building, and then she was back in almost a bodyguard role for Bliss a couple of weeks later, still aligned with her, with the angle forgotten, which made no sense. Most likely she would have been programmed with Banks, because Banks beating Fox clean last week on TV, only to set up a rematch where Banks won with the same tap out finish, to build up a PPV match feels like Banks was being built up for someone other than Fox. Others have indicated Banks vs. Jax was scheduled for the TLC show

SPYWARE/POP-UP WARNING - https://www.pwinsider.com/article.php?id=113008
Mike Johnson wrote:The long-discussed and planned WWE UK series that would be produced and broadcast by the company is not just being conceptualized as simply a WWE Network exclusive, PWInsider.com has learned.

A source close to the situation has told PWInsider.com that the company has been ramping up pitches to several different UK broadcasters. The pitch revolves around the idea of carrying a WWE UK-centric property that would be produced in Great Britain featuring an all British cast of characters.

The current title for the series, we are told, is WWE King of The Ring. Obviously, that is a repurposing of the title of a tournament that has been around since the late 1980s, initially as an annual special event in the Boston market before graduating into its own PPV event in 1993. The King of the Ring PPV was halted in 2006 but was brought back from time to time as an attraction used to elevate talents to the next level. It was last used in 2015 with Bad News Barrett winning the tournament.

PWInsider.com has also been told that one of the broadcasters WWE is pitching is ITV, which is interesting on a number of levels.

WWE had, over the last several years, attempted to purchase the pro wrestling-related material from old ITV World of Sport library for their own use, without success. World of Sport was a sports anthology series that ran for 20 years on ITV and regularly featured pro wrestling personalities and matches from Europe. When the decision was made in 1985 to cancel the series, it crippled homegrown pro wrestling in that region for several decades until the current rebirth headed by PROGRESS, ICW and IPW-UK, among other promotions.

In 2013, John Chapman licensed and filmed a World of Sport TV pilot that ITV opted not to pick up. The online attention to that pilot led to WWE reaching out to ITV in 2014 to open communications about purchasing the library. The acquisition never went down, but those two events may have led to ITV opting to launch their own pilot taping in 2016.

That pilot aired as a two hour special on New Years Eve 2016 with Jim Ross as one of the lead announcers and producing behind the scenes. The special was designed as a pilot for a potential World of Sport series revival. The special and the potential series revival led to a lot of mainstream media attention in Great Britain.

Anthem Media and Jeff Jarrett came on board after ITV decided to move forward with a ten episode series. Jim Ross left the project and eventually planned tapings earlier this year were canceled due to what was described at the time as logistical issues. Several talents that were scheduled for the World of Sport tapings have since placed the blame on the fact that Jarrett and Anthem were pushing for an ongoing weekly series, while the Network wanted to try out the concept with a 10 episode series, that would be closer in vein to the UK's TV scene, which features much shorter seasons of television series in comparison with the United States. Over seven months later, there has been no movement on the project. If WWE is pitching ITV, the broadcaster is obviously willing to move on from their original plans.

The irony is ITV's original plans to move forward with a series led to WWE speeding up their own plans to launch their own WWE UK-centric brand. That brand kicked off with two day live tournament broadcast on the WWE Network in January 2017 and the signing of former ROH champion Nigel McGuinness as an announcer. Those WWE UK Championship broadcasts introduced WWE fans to a plethora of UK-centric wrestlers, including Pete Dunne, Tyler Bate, Trent Seven and Wolfgang, among others. Since those specials, those talents have appeared on WWE European tour dates as well as WWE NXT TV tapings and Takeover specials.

Talks of the UK brand launching as a series had quieted down in recent months, especially after WWE signed deals with PROGRESS Wrestling and ICW to bring those promotions to the planned (but still yet to launch) WWE Network tiered-system. Those plans and talks, however, are obviously still continuing.

If, when and where WWE King of the Ring launches still remains to be seen.

Just an idea I want to throw out there before tonight's PPV:

If their big idea is to do a Shield reunion and put them over by having them win against these ridiculous odds, then just replacing Roman with someone else and having them win actually hurts the story they're trying to tell. And if you are using a replacement, the best way to tell the story is to have the replacement be the guy to get pinned. And if the rumors of Brock vs. Balor for December or the Rumble are true, they obviously don't want to beat him, so he couldn't be the guy to come in here and get pinned.
So what if Kurt is in here to take the pin? You save your Shield reunion and the story of them overcoming the odds (and arguably even add to it by having The Shield win against odds that even Rollins, Ambrose and Kurt Angle couldn't overcome), plus you can either put someone like Braun over a bit by letting him pin Kurt (the 5-on-3 nature of the match doens't make it that impressive to me), or you could even have Miz been Kurt to play into his angle with Jason Jordan (Miz is definitely the kind of guy who would brag about pinning someone in a 5-on-3 match).

I highly doubt they'll do it, of course, but the pieces would all fit together perfectly if WWE wanted to go that way.

Meltzer:
We're told Raw is supposed to be a big show on Monday in Green Bay. It's a smaller arena so it's expected to be the first Raw sellout in several weeks.
According to WWE, there is no set timetable on when Kevin Owens would return. He is out of action due to a family matter.
As far as the other wrestlers, Bray Wyatt, Roman Reigns and Bo Dallas, they will be reevaluated in eight days for an update. All WWE Raw talent was ordered to get shots for Measles, Mumps and Rubella on Thursday stemming from the illness that has kept the aforementioned three off tonight's show.

Have the heels win and if Reigns is cleared next week, here’s the Survivor Series main event.

War Games
The Shield, Kurt Angle, & Jason Jordan vs. The Miz, Kane, Braun Strowman, Sheamus, & Cesaro

I'm just going to go ahead and assume that I'm the only one who hated the big angle from last night?

I didn't watch it but it sounded dumb.

Not as dumb as flying Styles in to take a loss to Balor on the PPV, then immediately jobbing Balor out to Kane though.

In what could be a sign for his future with the company, Neville was removed from the video intro for 205 Live this week. It’s the first time that he hasn’t been in the intro since the news that he wanted to leave WWE broke.

It was fucking terrible. It seemed so artificial and completely underwhelming at the same time. With the exception of Brock Lesnar, the main roster is a homogenized clusterfuck of bad booking and self indulgent bullshit perpetuated by an old man completely out of touch with the fans. Exactly. Stupid move. Balor losing to Kane was beyond moronic. It was sub-moronic. Yeah, let's have Balor lose to Kane, a guy who has been around for fucking ever and doesn't need a push. But McMahon has an eternal hard-on for big guys and that trumps everything.

Nakamura has been fucked over in favor of steriod Mahal. Despite being half the worker he was in NJPW, Nakamura is still totally over with the WWE sheep. Doesn't mean jack shit to McMahon and his infatuation with jacked up men.

Sami Zayn loses to Randy Orton with the winner to captain Team Smackdown. Shit, I didn't see that one coming. Nepotism wins out here, an outdated WWE staple. God forbid Zayn gets an actual meaningful win.

I can't watch this shit anymore. Life is too short and the sheeple that cater to this crap are just as much to blame as Vince.

Obviously I'd prefer it closer to me, but I'm just happy they haven't decided to go and give every single one of them to the Sun Belt.

To be clear, there aren't any tensions raised if anyone wants to mention/link Voices of Wrestling, Wreddit, F4W boards, or wherever. However, I will be swift in moderating any posts that don't self-censor Mr. 'Or is it NJPW that needs ROH?", J***off.
