Re: The WWE Thread
For those who haven't heard, WWE announced today that Jim Ross will be retiring to focus on "personal business endeavors".
Their's a rumor that says Vince McMahon made the final decision, and that Ross's failure to keep Ric Flair under control at the WWE 2K14 Event during SummerSlam is a contributing factor in this decision.

Re: The WWE Thread
I could see HBK returning to be a guest ref for Orton vs. Bryan at HIAC. The storyline could be that HBK has become a better person, not proud of the things he did back in the day that he thought was "best for business," and is vocal to HHH about the current regime.
HBK would be a perfect impartial referee - on one side, the hand-picked favorite of his best friend, On the other side, his greatest student and someone that he views as the heir to his "Showstopper" (match quality) throne.

And then *swerve* super-kick to take out Bryan and hand the victory to Orton.

If that led to HBK vs. Bryan, then sign me up for that finish.Dingus wrote:And then *swerve* super-kick to take out Bryan and hand the victory to Orton.

HBK v. Daniel Bryan in an unsanctioned match (so HBK can still be "retired").
I like it. Crowd would be crazy hot. And put it at Survivor Series and play up HBK's history with that event.

Re: The WWE Thread
Guys stop getting me excited about HBK/Bryan. It's probably never gonna happen but you lot talking about it is making me mark very hard.

Swagger looked like a beast in tag team turmoil! Not so high on the Darren Young push for obvious reasons, but we'll see if they let them beat the shield or not before I give my judgment on that

DANIEL BRYAN IS WWE CHAMPION!
Re: The WWE Thread
Yeah... Orton gets the title back in RAW. Fast count and all this BS.
Anyway, the show sucked hard. It was on par with OTL and CP 2011. Awful.

Re: The WWE Thread
I'm just happy that Daniel Bryan is a Two-Time WWE Champion.
Just curious, for those who saw it, how was Orton/Bryan? I assume it was MOTN?

Re: The WWE Thread
The first 10 minutes or so were great till the ref bump. From then the match lost its steam and the finish was horrible. Meh. ***1/4DXvsNWO1994 wrote:I'm just happy that Daniel Bryan is a Two-Time WWE Champion.

It was good. It was the best match on the show, but it wasn't great.DXvsNWO1994 wrote:I'm just happy that Daniel Bryan is a Two-Time WWE Champion.
