Re: The WWE Thread
Punk- Maybe.
Daniel Bryan- will drop the title to orton at mania after orton wins the rumble.
Air Boom- Open, as its a BS title in Vince's eyes.
Ryder- When ratings dont get bumped they will blame it on him, and take his title away.
Cody- Maybe, but I really see him dropping it to Sheamus.
Beth- Kelly will pose for some magazine and need the title.

So is the bet happening or not?

I'd LOVE that! If only The WWE had brains... :STreeOfWHOA! wrote:In a perfect world WWE would have a WWE Title/World Title unification match between Daniel Bryan and CM Punk at Mania this year. Maybe call it "The Battle of the Best In The World" lol.
Re: The WWE Thread
Just watched last Friday's Smackdown. Pretty great show, all-in-all. Nary a bad segment.
Re: The WWE Thread
Just finished Monday's RAW. It was an OK show, but man that whole Kane/Cena-stuff was just outright bad.

Re: The WWE Thread
so how long before Brock is back in the ring?

^ Does that still matter now that he retired from the UFC and MMA?

Yes. At the very least it needs to be bought out.

Re: The WWE Thread
I think we'll see Brock at WrestleMania 29 (2013) or SummerSlam 2012.
'Mania 28 already has Rock vs Cena and Taker's 20th win, so Brock isn't needed in a marketing sense.

Re: The WWE Thread
As crazy as it seems, have Brock come back the same way they did in WWE12. Now granted, anyone who's played the game will see it coming but have him come out, destroy someone big like say a Big Show or a Wade Barrett on his first night, give him something to do heading into Mania and then slowly get him back into the title picture but this is WWE.

Yes. A contract's a contract. Just because he decided to retire doesn't mean his contract is null. Dana won't make him fight, but he'll be keeping him under contract. He stated so at a post UFC-141 press conference.FairPlay wrote:^ Does that still matter now that he retired from the UFC and MMA?

I know very little about MMA so correct me if I'm wrong but aren't contracts in fights?cviens wrote:Yes. A contract's a contract. Just because he decided to retire doesn't mean his contract is null. Like, you get a 5-fight deal rather than a 12-month contract?
If that's the case, it would seem Lesnar could do whatever he wants.
Re: The WWE Thread
UFC contracts are like any other sports contract from what I understand. You're signed to the company until it expires or it's terminated.ROHWorld_Steven wrote:I know very little about MMA so correct me if I'm wrong but aren't contracts in fights?cviens wrote:Yes. Brock coming back would be very interesting indeed. Hope it happens
Re: The WWE Thread
Well didn't he just terminate it himself aka by retiring?cviens wrote:UFC contracts are like any other sports contract from what I understand. You're signed to the company until it expires or it's terminated.

Re: The WWE Thread
No. Did you read what I said in response to your previous question? Just because he decided to retire doesn't mean his contract ends. Unless Dana White decides to terminate the contract or WWE buys it out from him, Lesnar is signed to UFC until the contract runs out. You can't terminate your own contract unless you breach it, which would result in fines most likely. Dana White has already stated that Lesnar is still under contract and can't pursue a deal with WWE or any other wrestling promotion unless he has Dana's permission.FairPlay wrote:Well didn't he just terminate it himself aka by retiring?cviens wrote:UFC contracts are like any other sports contract from what I understand. Re: The WWE Thread
^ You also said "from what I understand" which means that you weren't 100% sure on my first question. So I just asked a follow up question but I really don't care either way. I'm just still shocked that he just up and left. I didn't see that coming at all...
