Too bad they couldn't keep going with Macho Mandow, that was entertaining

Vince McMahon also mentioned that Seth Rollins, Bray Wyatt, Randy Orton, and John Cena would be returning within the next 30 days.
Triple H also signed as on-screen talent through WrestleMania 35.

So within 30 days a lot of the "new faces" will be seen less I take it?

I wonder if Cena goes back into the US Open Challenge spot? That was quite fun and provided some really interesting matches. Can't wait until he comes back.

So I've been hearing a lot of people saying that at the Hawaii Network show we are getting John Cena vs. Shinsuke Nakamura and Brock Lesnar vs. Kevin Owens. Anyone know if it's true? Might be the first show of 2016 I watch since Tokyo Dome.

Observer:
The 6/29 return to Honolulu after seven years is already sold out. Just to clarify rumors that had been going around, to the point even talent believed they were true, WWE has confirmed that this show will not be a network special. Also, the reports claiming that this show will feature Lesnar are also incorrect. Lesnar was never even asked about working the date and WWE is not advertising him for the show.

Regarding talk of a Charlotte vs. Asuka match that week, they may be facing off but it is not official. Charlotte, Asuka and Natalya are all booked for the Honolulu show and given Asuka will be a babyface in Honolulu, it could be a three-way or a tag in some form. Right now only Asuka and Paige are advertised for the Japan shows on the same tour. It would be logical that the talent used in Honolulu would go on to Japan.

Observer:
Harper is targeting August or September for his return after knee surgery.

Kentucky, which WWE has avoided when it comes to major shows due to commission regulation, is making a play to get PPVs and Raws back. Pro Wrestling Sheet reported Chad Miller, who heads the Kentucky Boxing & Wrestling Commission, made a statement that “The new commission will have a more focused vision on unleashing the regulatory and market conditions necessary to attract world-class professional athletic events to Kentucky.” While WWE has run house shows in the market, the company hasn’t run any Raw or PPV shows after the commission sent a letter in 2010 saying that from that point forward, WWE would not be able to run in the state unless commission officials were present and had the authority to stop matches. Wrestling rules in Kentucky ban bloody matches due to hardcore promotions running bloodbaths. The commission was then under pressure when WWE, before its current rules, had a bloody match on a PPV and the smaller promotions cried foul, although WWE was fined. The Kentucky rules are that if there is accidental blood in a match, it has to be stopped until the blood is under control. It’s noted those rules don’t apply to boxing or MMA. On the flip side, college basketball has similar regulations.

Meltzer:
Regarding Seth Rollins questions, he is ready to return now, but it's a question of the exact time and situation. There are all kinds of rumors and the only thing we just heard from someone backstage at Extreme Rules is that they haven't seen him but have heard the talk. With John Cena as an advertised return, he's more likely to be a surprise at some point.

Now that WWE is the curve rather behind ROH on it, we should really ramp up the discussion in this thread. The quantity of workhorses is gonna be staggering come SummerSlam.

SMACKDOWN GOING LIVE ON USA NETWORK BEGINNING TUESDAY, JULY 19

SMACKDOWN to Feature Distinct Roster and Storylines

NEW YORK and STAMFORD, CONN – May 25, 2016 -- USA Network, the exclusive cable home to WWE's marquee properties, announced that its weekly SMACKDOWN show will air live – for the first time ever – and move to Tuesdays every week beginning July 19 from 8-10PM ET/PT. With the SMACKDOWN move, USA Network will now offer five hours of live WWE programming a week, including the weekly three-hour live WWE MONDAY NIGHT RAW (airing Mondays from 8-11PM ET/PT), with each show featuring a distinct cast, unique storylines and a dedicated writing team.

In 2016 to date, MONDAY NIGHT RAW is averaging 4.011MM total viewers, 1.873MM P25-54 and 1.846MM P18-49 L7, and SMACKDOWN in its current time slot is averaging 2.674MM P2+, 1.136MM P25-54, and 1.058MM P18-49+ L7, making USA the #1 cable entertainment network across the key demos on Monday and Thursday nights. In 2015, the two programs combined reached over 50MM viewers. Both shows will now air live 52 weeks a year.

"The fan base for our WWE shows is one of the most passionate and engaged audiences in all of entertainment," said Chris McCumber, President, Entertainment Networks, NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment. "There is a huge appetite among our viewers for live programming, and the ability to move SMACKDOWN to a live format brings a new level of excitement and helps truly eventize this every week."

"WWE's flagship programs will both leverage the incredible depth of our talent roster, distinct storylines and the unpredictable nature of live TV," said WWE Chairman & CEO Vince McMahon. "This move will undoubtedly build more excitement and deepen engagement with our fans around the world."

Very interesting news. Speculation is already going around that WWE is looking to raid places for talents to fill the rosters on both shows (and NXT).
