Surprised their isn't a thread for them on here already. They've been making a lot of noise this year, with recent shows like Absolution VIII, Gleaming The Cube, Double Dare, and their "Girls Night Out" Shows.

Here's the card so far for their next show, which actually looks pretty solid:

AIW Dead Presidents
Cleveland, Ohio 12/27/13

- Chris Hero vs. Tim Donst
- AIW Absolute Title - UltraMantis Black (c) vs. Johnny Gargano
- 2/3 Falls Match - "Unbreakable" Michael Elgin vs. ???
- AIW Intense Title - Louis Lyndon (c) vs. Kevin Steen
- Colt Cabana vs. Tracy Smothers
- AIW Tag Team Titles - The Jollyville Fuck-Its (Russ Myers & T-Money) vs. The Submission Squad (Evan Gelistico & Pierre Abernathy) vs. The Hot Young Best Friends (Briley Pierce & Gary Jay) vs. Youthanazia (Josh Prohibition & Matt Cross)
- Gregory Iron "Wide Open Challenge": Round II

Heard nothing but great things about this promotion all year and that looks like a really solid line-up. Although I've never seen the likes of Ethan Page, Josh Alexander or Chris Dickinson, I've only heard their names being brought up time and time again here so I really want to check some of this out...

DXvsNWO1994 - I have to ask, I know you've probably seen a couple/few shows from AIW this year, what sort of buildings/attendances are they running? What shows would you recommend? What's the deal with running 11 matches on most cards?

Actually I have yet to see an AIW Show of any kind  Just heard a lot of great thing.

As far as the venue, they usually run Turners Hall in Cleveland, Ohio. I think Steen said in one of his last Weekend Escapades that it was a crappy venue, but AIW runs that venue almost every show I believe.

With the shows, although I haven't seen any, I've heard great things about the shows I've mentioned in the original post. Absolution VIII received some pretty high praise. Gleaming The Cube has a 5-Way Ladder Match I hear was INSANE. Double Dare has the finals of their big Tag Tournament they did plus UltraMantis Black winning his first singles title in wrestling.....ever. Their "Girls Night Out" Shows I've heard are very entertaining, and I heard their most recent show, Hell on Earth (featuring Steen vs. Gargano) was good as well. Their upcoming show, Dead Presidents, has a very solid card.

AIW is great. Josh Alexander is scheduled to be the guy against Elgin (they've had some great matches already) but the ongoing border issues are why they're not going to officially announce it. Their facebook and twitter more or less outright said it's Alexander, though.

Chris Dickinson isn't on their shows anymore because of some no-show issues or something like that. They stopped booking him after he didn't show up for that four-way at Absolution VIII

I used to watch AIW a lot back when I lived in the Cleveland area. They've come a LONG way from what they were, but they were always a pretty cool promotion. I'm really happy to see all the success they're having.

I have been a fan of AIW since the beginning. I used to chat with their own Chandler (Chris) at IWC shows in pittsburgh before he started AIW and I am proud to see how popular they are becoming with dvd sales, but the live crowds are pretty low. With the cards as stacked as they are I am shocked the turnouts aren't bigger. I would love to see these guys run a show near Pittsburgh and see how well they would draw. Once they changed video producers the dvd quality went from a C to an A. I mean the difference is night and day. The old dvd commentary is down over a house mic which is horrible to sit through. Now they have well packaged interviews, commentary, and camera work. I think the change made was around 2010 but everyone should check out the older stuff especially for Jimmy Demarco's promo's alone.

Quite surprised to see that AIW has slipped off the radar on here, since the last post was made, AIW have ran two shows. The last was the weekend after Christmas, with the latest the first official show on the AIW 2014 Calendar...

AIW's Next Event see's the 'Gauntlet For The Gold' Return a week on Friday (14th March) with what already looks like a surprizingly good card thus far...

Absolute Title Match
Michael Elgin Vs Andrew Everett

Eddie Kingston Vs Tim Donst

Intense Title Match
Louis Lyndon Vs ACH

AIW Tag Title Match
The Jollyville F**k-Its Vs The Batiri

Plus, I've also seen a tweet floating around that a certain Mr. Alex Shelley will be on the card. Not sure if it's 100% confirmed but the addition will make a good looking card that much stronger...

Sadly, Kevin Steen couldn't make the show last night for family reasons (the birth of his daughter, as we all know) so we didn't get to see The Panda Express.

Another note out of last night's show is that their is a new stable in AIW....The Forgotten, which consists of Jimmy Jacobs, BJ Whitmer, and Tommy Mercer (aka Crimson from TNA). When you include The Decade in ROH and The Flood in CHIKARA (that's the name that has been given to all the Rudo groups he is leading), this is the third heel stable that Jimmy Jacobs is leading on the indie circuit right now.

Seriously Jimmy was have some sort if addiction, he needs an anti-heel stable intervention.

I don't know if that was just for the two shows i watched (GFTG & Dead President), but i hate the first half an hour with too much uninteresting speaking...
Otherwise the matches were good.

Yeah I really have no interest in watching Tracy Smothers make an ass out of himself for 30 minutes.

Can't believe more people aren't talking about this years JLIT that looks very promising.

Plus, Night 2 features Sabin vs. Gargano!

Definitely going to be a great 2 nights of wrestling for AIW.

Sonjay Dutt, Tim Donst, Eddie Kingston, Ultramantis Black, Buff Bagwell (WHAT?!), Danny Havoc, Bobby Beverly, Matt Cross, Louise Lyndon, Marion Fontaine, Josh Prohibition, Ethan Page, Flip Kendrick, Rickey Shane Page, Davey Vega, Veda Scott, Seleyzia Sparx, Heidi Lovelace. Not a bad roster, at all.

Oh yeah, and Gargano/Sabin on the 2nd night. Amazing.
