Good to hear. I was planning on getting GFTG 9 but by the sounds of it T.G.I.F. was good was as well. Will have to check that one out also.

PWG & CHIKARA aren't the only big shows going on this weekend, as AIW has the JT Lightning Invitational Tournament. Here are the first round matches, which will all take place on Night 1, which is Friday:
-Colin Delaney vs. Josh Prohibition.

-Flip Kendrick vs. “M-Dogg” Matt Cross.

-BJ Whitmer vs. #SPARX.

-Louis Lyndon vs. Bobby Beverly.

-Jimmy Jacobs vs. Eric Ryan.

-Buff Bagwell vs. Jock Samson.

-Tim Donst vs. Marion Fontaine.

-Veda Scott vs. # ALLEGO.

-Heidi Lovelace vs. Rickey Shane Page.

-Davey Vega vs. Sonjay Dutt.

-Danny Havoc vs. UltraMantis Black.

-”Unbreakable” Michael Elgin vs. Eddie Kingston.
Michael Elgin will be defending the AIW Absolute Title throughout the tournament, so it will be handled much like PWG's DDT4 where the Tag Team Titles have in the past been on the line throughout the tournament. This means that the AIW Absolute Title could change hands up to four times before it's all said and done.

Night 2 also features Johnny Gargano vs. Chris Sabin in non-tournament action.

I don't like most stuff Kingston does, but I'm excited at the idea of Kingston/Elgin. Hopefully those two don't disappoint.

Gargano/Sabin should be epic. I really don't watch anything AIW doesn't put up on YouTube, but that's a match I'll be going out of my way to see.

I'm excited about Elgin/Kingston as well. Honestly surprised that it has taken this long for it to happen.

Here are results from Night 1 of the JLIT via PWP:
Matt Cross wins with a piledriver over Flip Kendrick after teasing a dive, but not acting on it. Really fun opener, Kendrick looked great.

Tim Donst wins with a Gator Roll after catching Marion Fontaine Fontaine mid-air with an Ace Crusher. Very entertaining.

Eric Ryan catches Jimmy Jacobs with a small package to advance. The Jollyville Fuck-Its provided some level of distraction.

Heidi Lovelace wins with the Heidicanrana over Rickey Shane Page. RSP beat the CRAP out of her and she still came out on top.

Louis Lyndon makesBobby Beverly tap to the Dragon Sleeper.

Buff Bagwell pins Jock Sampson after the Buff Blockbuster. Must see. Jock Samson is the greatest.

Official decision: BJ Whitmer DQ’d for striking an official, #Sparx moves on. Jacobs and Whitmer brawled with the Jollyville Fuck-Its after the match.

Sonjay Dutt advances over Davey Vega.

Davey Havoc wins with a Death Valley Driver over Ultramantis Black onto barbed wire in what was a no disqualification match.

Josh Prohibition wins with the Drunken Driver over Colin Delaney.

#AllEgo wins with the Spinning Dwayne over Veda Scott. Greg Iron’s Iron Curtain surrounds the ring (as does Iron.) Iron issues an open challenge to the fans. Delaney, Mantis, and Fontaine chase Iron and his Curtain away. Tomorrow it will be them and Veda vs Iron and his Iron Curtain.

Michael Elgin retains the AIW Championship and advances to the second round of the tournament by making Eddie Kingston tap to a cross arm breaker

Non-Tournament Match:
Johnny Gargano def Chris Sabin via Garga-No escape

Steen vs Sabin announced for Absolution IX

Non-Tournament Match
Eddie Kingston vs Davey Vega vs Rickey Shane Page vs Flip Kendrick vs Tyson Dux vs Bobby Beverly

Main Event: JLIT 2014 Final Round/ Elimination match Absolute Championship
Michael Elgin defends against Ethan Page
- Donst is out.
- Despite his weakened state, Donst returned to compete
- Donst is eliminated by Ethan Page with a superkick after Elgin accidentally backfists Donst.

They have a $10 DVD sale going on at aiwrestling.com through the end of this weekend, I believe. Everything other than the recent JLIT tourney is included.

So this month at AIW's Battle Of The Sexes, we're going to see Veda Scott vs. Gregory Iron in a Steel Cage Match.

That should be something else...

So apparently there were some issues at the AIW events last night, as Kimber Lee no showed. I think it might have had something to do with her trying to make tonight's Beyond Wrestling Show.

Anyway, here are the results from Battle Of The Sexes. The ladies won overall 5-4.
Bobby Beverly def Angel Dust with Sister Abigail

Hania the Huntress def Colin Delaney with a moonsault from the top

Davey Vega def Jasmin

Jenny Rose def Tyson Dux after she counters a sliding D into a back slide

Rickey Shane Page def Alexia Nicole with a roaring elbow

#Sparx def Eddie Kingston with a powerbomb from the top rope

BJ Whitmer def Heidi Lovelace with a T-bone suplex
- post match BJ goes to attack her more but Jollyville Fuck-Its make the save. Heidi Lovelace chant from crowd.

Athena def Louis Lyndon with the O Face

Steel Cage Match
Veda Scott splashes Gregory Iron from a table on top of a cage through a table in the cage to win the match
- both opponents were busted open during this match
- a chair, table, and thumbtacks were used
