The logical starting point would be the 2015 Windy City Classic XI show. This is when AAW started booking the Lucha Underground talent . Fenix and Pentagon , JR. made their debts on this card.. This is a turning point for AAW .

There is a series of AAW Best OF DVDS that I would recommend to you . I have the Best of 2009, 20010 , 2011 and 2013 collections. This is a great way to watch some quality matches and become familiar with the history of AAW . There are also the Best of Tyler Black , Motor City Machine Guns and AAA : THE EARLY YEARS colections..

The best of sets are feature many top quality matches . Davey Richards vs. Sami Callihan , ACH vs. Kyle O ' Reilly , Richards vs. Michael Elgin , Masada vs. Elgin , Eddie Edwards vs. Silas Young , Richards vs. Jimmy Jacobs , Elgin vs. Alex Shelly , Young vs. Colt Cabana , Young vs. Rhino , Jacobs vs. Arik Cannon ( I Quit Match ) , Elgin vs. BJ Whitmer , Richards vs. Super Crazy , Young vs. Hallowicked , Young vs. Tyler Black , Young vs. Ricochet , Richards vs. Black , Young vs. Bryan Danielson are some of the highlights from the Best of Collections.

I think they also have tv shows online that you could breeze through to get caught up on the past few years.

Did AAW find a money mark ? These cards are great , but all this talent is expensive. I wonder where the money is coming from or maybe business is just that good ?

I'm about 2 hours from where AAW shows are held and I've been meaning to go, but it just hasn't worked out schedule-wise. I need to make this happen. There hasn't been a lot of wrestling visiting my town over the past few years.

Anyone have experience with AAW DVDs going back? I am considering getting into the company. I ordered a 2007 DVD and was annoyed that it was a DVD-R split into two discs. While conceding this is more of an OCD issue with me than anything wrong AAW has done, I was wondering if anyone familiar with the company could comment on if their longer shows still get split into two discs. And if not, if they know if this is a fairly recent occurrence (say, around the time they added a Blu-Ray option) or something they got away from years ago. As an example, if anyone can comment on whether Day of Defiance 2013 is a one disc or two disc show, it would be helpful. Thanks!

Most of them from back in 2012 and earlier were 2 disc DVD-Rs. I do know the recent 'Epic' Blu Ray was one BR, though.

And DoD '13 is one of the few single shows I bought (mostly I got their Best ofs') and I'm 90% sure it was 2 discs.

I would say that you should def check out their current product on MP4 as I feel that actually seems like a better visual experience for me but I admit I haven't bought a DVD from them in a while as the mp4 is good enough for me.

I just watch the Sami Callihan vs. Pentagon Jr. Mexican Death match . Love it. Non stop violence . Do your a favor and watch the match. It on the Jim Lyman show, night one.

The whole show was really good, it reminded me of the glory years of ROH . I was pleasantly surprised by the AAW product.
