BERWYN, IL (Friday December 12, 2015) Today, Friday December 12, 2015, AAW Promotions LLC is proud to announce the formation of AAW Vanguard.
AAW Vanguard will present multiple professional wrestling events in 2015 at the world famous Berwyn Eagles Club in beautiful Berwyn Illinois.

The individuals behind the acclaimed AAW: Professional Wrestling Redefined are teaming up with Jordan Pryde of Vanguard Wrestling All-Star Alliance (VWAA) to create AAW Vanguard. Jordan’s addition to AAW is another step in the positive growth that the company has seen over the last ten years.

AAW Producer, Mike Petkovich, commented “Jordan brings a level of production knowledge that will make AAW Vanguard stand apart from AAW: Pro Wrestling Redefined. This promotion will have a whole new look and feel to it. We are very excited to have Jordan as a part of our team.”

AAW Vanguard will be offering additional opportunities for professional wrestling talent in the Midwest.
AAW owner, Jim Lynam, commented “There are only so many spots on the AAW events that sometimes the newer talent to AAW doesn’t have enough time to show us what they have. This is a great opportunity as we will offer more work to more athletes. It’s a win-win situation for everyone.”

AAW Talent Coordinator, Danny Daniels, commented “The independent wrestling scene isn’t dead, it’s actually quite hungry. Lots of newer guys and girls want to make an impact and only need an opportunity. AAW Vanguard will be that opportunity. A place for them to gain more experience and get ready to hit the next level.”

The AAW Vanguard schedule will feature eight events at the Berwyn Eagles Club and talent from AAW Vanguard will be a part of the AAW’s biggest show of the year, the eleventh annual Windy City Classic on November 28, 2015.

The 2015 AAW:Vanguard schedule:
Saturday, February 21st
Saturday, May 16th
Saturday, June 20th
Saturday, July 25th
Saturday, August 22nd
Friday, September 25th
October TBD
Friday, December 11th
All talent interested in being a part of AAW Vanguard can send their resumes to vanguard@aawrestling.com.

For anyone who hasn't heard, AAW's Shane Hollister announced his retirement from wrestling today. Apparently injuries caught up with him. What a shame... :(

Just read the results from last night's show. It looks like Shane Hollister's "retirement" was just an angle so he could turn face and feud with his valet, Scarlett Bordeaux (who turned heel). What's really weird is that on the same show, they did a segment later in the show where Keith Walker announced his real/"shoot" retirement.

Sounds like some really poor booking...

Scarlett was already a heel.

It's not a story. He really fractured his ankle, will be out for several months, and at the time said he was done. I truely believe that he was being sincere when he said retirement. Then a couple weeks past, he was able to clear his head, see the path for recovery, and decide that he will be back.

Also announced for that show was Zero Gravity vs. The Hooligans in a TLC Match, Allysin Kay making her AAW debut, and Jimmy Jacobs vs. Ethan Page.

Silas Young made his return to AAW last night, attacking Eddie Kingston. Here are the full results from The Chaos Theory, via PWP:

Christian Faith def Mat Fitchett/ Marion Fontaine/ Dick Justice to retain when Faith pins Fitchett

Chris Sabin def Shannon Moore with the cradle shock

Double Dog Collar match
Zero Gravity def The Hooligans after Flippy Cup 2.0 with one of the Cutters stuck between two chairs
– after the match, a beat down ensues and Esparza goes through a table
– TLC next month between Zero Gravity and Hooligans

The Iron Curtain came out until Dick Justice came out. Faith forearms Justice in back of the neck. Beatdown ensues. Faith stabs Justice in the eye.

Ethan Page def DJ Z (Zema Ion) with the spinning Dwayne

AAW Tag Team Titles
Dan Lawrence and Markus Crane def Ryan Boz and Paco Gonzalez

AAW Heavyweight Championship
Eddie Kingston def Josh Alexander with a backfist and landing on top for the pin.
– Said to be a very cool finish

I hope anyone that hasn't seen Tommy End has now after this weekend. For Ciampa's sake I hope his ribs are healed enough for this. End's kicks are stiff as fuck!
