Hah. Hahahaha. I'm sure the guy that was the most protected worker on the roster since he came in will definitely be taking losses.

Re: Official Final Battle 2013 Thread

Honestly, if Page doesn't win the match then the whole thing is rather pointless. Hardy has proven NOT to be a selling point to ROH fans, and last year's feud did nothing for Cole (Hardy barely put him over). Really, if ROH wants to make new stars (With the Wolves leaving and it's still not like Her...

Re: WWE releases Chris Hero

I read management and Triple H wanted him to work on his physique, but he kept skipping out on training and ignoring their advice. If thats the case, why should WWE invest their time and money for someone who doesn't care or take it serious?! If management is giving advice on something to work on t...

Re: Jack Evans

I liked him because he was fun, for lack of a better term. This is it. He was just enjoyable. Could have a fun opening match with a couple highspots to wow the crowd and then could work a great tag match near the main event. He was a versatile worker who could do whatever they needed him to booking...

Re: ROH on SBG Discussion Thread

He didn't bridge with either suplex so what's the problem? So lifting Marvin in a back suplex on the top didn't put any emphasis on the neck, as well as doing an avalanche German (even though he was strained a minute prior just even attempting a standard suplex) and.... Wait, where's your defense o...

Re: Jack Evans

Jack was a bit messy early on, but actually went out of his way to become a better worker, and got to be really good after a little bit. The tours of Mexico and Japan helped him a ton. I'd love to see him come back, but it's doubtful.

Re: ROH on SBG Discussion Thread

I liked the first part of Richards/Marvin before the mess that is Davey Richards came out. Richards does his typical half-second selling of a hurt neck when he can't make a bridge off of a suplex, but then in the usual "No psychology required" portions of his match he then proceeds to lift...

(Jimmy Jacobs VS Silas Young) "Jimmy Jacobs has done about everything in ROH...." .... Except win the ROH title, win SOTF, or headline a Final Battle. (Ricky Marvin VS Davey Richards) "Marvin has been wrestling since he was in diapers!" Marvin made his debut in 1995 at 15, long a...

But we're not talking about Davey Richards and how many people want to work with him, are we? 10 year career and he's hurt one person He broke their neck and completely changed their life. That's way more than simply injuring someone. Storm is another guy who specifically requested to work with Benn...

Re: Michael Bennett...

Bennett improved from "absolutely useless" to "extremely bland" in his entire ROH tenure. If you go by the improvements guys like Elgin, Cole, etc have made the past couple years, it really shows that Bennett is by nature just not that great of a wrestler. People say Bennett is &...

Re: GoFightLive - Yay or Nay?

ROH has no idea how to do iPPV. It's not just GFL (Who have produced solid streams of other companies), but possibly ROH's equipment in general. Sinclair desperately needs to increase production values across the board, there is much room for improvement.

Re: The WWE Thread

I would have Bryan win it at #1 (maybe even eliminating Big Show in a subtle silent 10th anniversary tribute to Benoit), and I'd have Punk dethrone Orton at the Chamber PPV. That would be absolutely great, I hope they at least give us Punk vs Bryan at WM, the rest of the rumoured WM 30 card doesn't...

Yeah, it's really just a puzzling location really considering the surrounding areas. I guess maybe ROH just got a good deal on the venue and tried to see what the market could be like for future shows.

If that's the case, I'm surprised they didn't just try to run Memphis, they'd probably draw a better crowd.

Re: Official Chattanooga/Birmingham "Road To Greatness" Thre

Yeah, I think Sinclair is a bit confused with how wrestling works these days.

Of course, I still think that's a low number considering they usually do draw in the 500 range.... but on the other hand, this was Alabama, a state certainly not known for their passion for wrestling.

Attendance is solid for what i read 300 more or less How the hell is 300 solid? For a place they've never been before (in an area of the country they rarely run), it was ok. Would have been better if it was in the higher 300's or 400 but it's not terrible. Considering that the arena holds 6,000, I ...
