Re: Official All-Star Extravaganza V Thread
My gosh, just give up on Bennett already. He's yet to have a truly great match in his tenure, has only improved into mediocre on his best day, doesn't have much heat, and is now injuring a backbone of the company. Just get rid of him already and give the Bennett push to someone else.

FH/RD was pretty great, I enjoyed it, they're my favorite part of ROH at the moment.

Re: ROH screws Guys out of Money
And your source is? Because I just randomly searched google and found this Aries quote from last year before he even won the TNA title: Austin Aries here. Not to let facts get in the way of a good story, but I worked for 3 years of THQ's WWE video games. My voice-over work for this year's game was d...

Re: ROH on SBG Discussion Thread
It certainly is an alternative, just TV friendly. How you can look at the products of WWE and ROH and call them similar is either some sort of wizardry or just blind criticism. I could have agreed with TNA if SCUM was still around, but now they aren't similar either All the endless authority figure...

Re: ROH screws Guys out of Money
YimYac is outdated by a couple years considering people have gone on record saying the contracts are better now, but whatever. It's like anyone knows for sure but the wrestlers so it's useless griping. They are definitely better but like I said, better for Upper midcarders I like how you're acting ...

Re: The TNA Thread
A major problem I have with Sabin's win is he didn't have much momentum going in, while Aries last year was the hottest thing in the company. The fans seemed to pop more in a "Wow, we just saw a world title change!" direction as opposed to actually being happy for Sabin. As long as he does...

Re: TV title has become so irrelevant
The TV title has never really meant anything aside from a few brief points in Lethal's reign or when Eddie was champion. Taven winning the belt has completely devalued it and I don't even think it means much to ROH right now. I really think it needs to be defended more and they should ditch the &quo...

Re: ROH on SBG Discussion Thread
I thought Steel Cage Warefare was a huge disappointment. At no point could they portray the hatred and intensity that the feud should have had. Even worse, this match reminded me a lot of a WWE match, no stiffness at all in this match. There was a moment when Titus went to knee strike the air and v...

I also think ROH has paid some of the local guys or jobbers in "exposure" due to their TV show, not sure how much they still do that though. The Dragon Saga wrote:Nowadays it's different. Talents are working for a lot less these days.

Re: Matches Signed For Providence!
Bob vs Bennett is a fine match for TV, Bennett squash him and go onto better things, Bob will be over with the crowd being a local guy, is the best place to do this. Adam Cole and Eddie Edwards didn't get to squash Bob, in fact they took most of the offense in their match. What will make this one a...

Re: ROH Womens' Division, What Are They Looking For? +Financ
ROH has very limited tv time, and a limited number of live shows. There's not a whole lot of time to add extra women's matches, and when they do it takes away time from a men's match, promo, etc. From what I've seen lately, the women's matches are almost always sub-par to the men's matches, and the...

Re: What do you think of the product at the moment?
It's far and beyond the atrocious Cornette blunder that was 2012 (Can't believe some people still defend that time or try to claim Cornette barely had any say), but the whole product feels pretty aimless and feels like it's more of the same, with the same repeat matches and everything in general bei...

Re: Official ROH World Title Tournament Discussion Thread
This is my opinion, I know some agree and some would bite my head off, but the past few years have not been kind to the ROH title. Richards had a year of inactivity with it, Steen was decent but lost in endless Cornette/SCUM bullshit and I think it's safe to say the whole Jay reign ended up being a...

Re: Official ROH World Title Tournament Discussion Thread
Really, they need to use this tournament to elevate new guys. The roster right now is beyond stagnant; A lot of midcarders with little or no momentum. Only a few guys feel like legit "main event" attractions. If booked properly, this could create new guys in the upper card that could have ...

Re: Official Best in the World 2013 Discussion/Results Threa
So we get SCUM being added to three matches, thus ruining the anticipated tag title match, a couple matches which will just kinda be there, and finally Jay/Mark, which is more or less just there to fill time until the endless SCUM shenanigans take fold. Let's use the infinite wisdom of The Simpsons ...

Man, Dragon/Rollins was great. I loved that they actually sold it as this incredible break-out match for both guys and a huge win for Bryan.
