I think Ciampa is awesome. Always enjoy watching him work.
As far as his ceiling? I don't know what the opinion of him is in ROH's office, but with the crowd I think his "Sicilian Psychopath" gimmick needs to be retooled. He needs to be more vicious in his matches.

Re: Tadarius Thomas' Last ROH Match in Dearborn
I always thought his style - the mixing of capoeira into his moveset - was interesting, but he was inconsistent in his quality of match. I'm just glad he won't be doing those dives through the middle ropes that he'd always fuck up on.

I really like Curtis Axel (despite the goofy name).
Got to love the NXT crowd chanting for the GTS. I hope Itami does bring it out.

Also, did I miss something on last night's show or did they drop the Edge and Christian lawsuit angle already?

That was a pretty painful Raw.
Whoever thought a 3 hrs Raw was a good idea should be fired.

Re: The NJPW Thread
Really good show. NJPW is overflowing with talent. Not a bad match on the card. I was a bit disappointed by the 6-man tag and 8-man tag matches. I felt both were too short. Plus, I wanted to see more Toru Yano and Marafuji. I got to give match of the night to Ibushi/Nakamura. Nakamura never disappoi...

Re: The WWE Thread
It's hard to shake the feeling that, after Ferguson, WWE got cold feet on the original gimmick they had planned for them - but decided the trio still needed to go ahead and The New Day is what came from it, even though the gimmick was only going to be an anchor for the three. The thing is, why did ...

Re: The WWE Thread
Cesaro is the obvious answer, but I'd go with Bray Wyatt. He should be a top star by now but has basically stayed pretty stagnant. He had a rocket on his back at the beginning of the year, but losing to Cena at WM killed his momentum and booking him to wrestle Ambrose 59 times in the last month has...

Cesaro, yeah. Right down to the awful music.lariat_tubman wrote:So here's a question some friends and I were talking about: who was the worst booked wrestler in 2014?
My vote is for Cesaro, it cliche at this point but still true I think.

Re: The WWE Thread
As for Rusev/Cena, Rusev would have to win, wouldn't he? I don't see how Rusev losing to Cena would be good for either Rusev or Cena. Cena is probably one of the few wrestlers in WWE's employ who a loss doesn't hurt. Cena winning wouldn't be good for anything, but it would likely happen anyway, unl...

I want this to happen so bad. But, as a triple threat, isn't it already no dq? Regardless, great idea.supersonic wrote: No DQ Match

Re: The WWE Thread
That's a shame. Seems like WWE should have planned this shit out a long time ago.
As much as I'm for Rollins winning the belt, I'd like it to be longer than a couple of months and not a transitional champion.

Re: The WWE Thread
I ended up rewatching a few parts on Raw and noticed a couple odd things, Especially the Ceasaro / BNB segment. First, Ceasaro cut almost a face promo, however he cuts down the fans, Thus making him the heel. Then Barrett comes down as a face, to save the day. Ceasaro dominates the match, THEN barr...

Re: The WWE Thread
As for the WWE Championship, if Lesnar's contract doesn't end until Mania, why have him drop the title at the Rumble? WWE having booked Lesnar (best as they could, considering his limited schedule) as a juggernaut it would mean more if Lesnar drops the title to Roman Reigns, or whoever wins the Rumb...

With what exactly? Why would they have been gone for very long when their advertised potential demise on what was supposed to be a "free" PPV actually drew an impressive buyrate, and they're the second-biggest ratings juggernauts behind Cena? So, then the problem is shit planning on WWE's...

Re: The WWE Thread
The Authority was booted from power in an extremely high stakes match, and then they get brought back six weeks later, effectively making one of the best matches WWE has had in all of 2014 completely moot. So, great. A faction that overstayed their welcome take a few weeks off and then it's back? If...

Re: Alberto Del Rio in ROH?
I'm sure he'll be added to a few more shows after the PPV, especially the West Coast Shows. A match with O'Reilly likely hasn't been put together in these first few months due to reDRagon's New Japan commitments. I love this idea. Hell, I'd just be happy to see Alberto wrestle. I'd really like to s...

Re: ROHWorld Year End Awards Voting - Moment of the Year Rou
I went with Lethal joining the House of Truth. To me, Lethal has been such a good babyface I was initially surprised when he joined at Supercard, then I worried if it would work. The best thing is, it has. Lethal is a fantastic heel. (And his entrance music is pretty fantastic.)
