Re: Official Global Wars/War Of The Worlds 2016 Super Thread
Agree 100% Joeism. I guess they didn't want Cabana to lose in Chicago, or they didn't want Lethal beating Cabana to be so overshadowed by the ending. I don't hate the angle...it's at least giving ROH a shot in the arm which is needed so fucking badly it's not even funny. I just don't agree with the ...

Re: Official Global Wars/War Of The Worlds 2016 Super Thread
Looking at reddit I'm seeing a ton of positive and a ton of negative on the finish. Everyone is talking about it though so that's a good point. I just really don't think that's how you end a show when your price point is higher than all of your competitors.

Re: Official Global Wars/War Of The Worlds 2016 Super Thread
I don't really know any casual fans that watch ROH...but holy shit is wrestling Twitter shitting all over Delirious and ROH right now lmao. The problem with ROH stays the same though. $45 for a PPV when every other product costs $10-15. NJPW guys come off as stars and ROH guys come off as second fid...

Re: Official Global Wars/War Of The Worlds 2016 Super Thread
Imagine spending $35-45 on a PPV and that is the ending. I mean people can spin it in ROHs favor in any way, shape or form. That's not something that is going to leave the casual fans with a good taste in their mouth. This is NWO WCW shit. You have Colt Cabana. In Chicago. ROH World Title. One of th...

Re: COLE, STRONG, MOOSE, HATHAWAY LIKELY TO LEAVE ROH
Solid Rovert impression here by Sonic, now using the old trope of attacking posters with pity-toned condescension rather than keeping the discussion to the point. This after vaguely offering "scoops" and pumping insider sources. Threads like this make wrestling forums intolerable. Popped ...

Re: COLE, STRONG, MOOSE, HATHAWAY LIKELY TO LEAVE ROH
And I see nothing wrong with that because things can change. I'm just letting you know that there are actually issues right now. But part of the reason for a forum is to discuss things like this that are happening. It's like reading the Observer for scoops. While I believe a majority of them, I real...

Re: COLE, STRONG, MOOSE, HATHAWAY LIKELY TO LEAVE ROH
Supersonic, you have to understand Dragon Saga and 187_Joeism just love ROH and refuse to accept anything negative about them which in reality is fine. They don't want to believe anything negative until they see it with their own 2 eyes which in reality is 100% fine. However to respond to Joeism, I ...

Re: COLE, STRONG, MOOSE, HATHAWAY LIKELY TO LEAVE ROH
I don't really see what people could complain about other than the booking/creative of the product as a whole. That includes the TV show. Okada and Tanahashi aren't losing to anyone in ROH. That's part of the deal. I don't really see a major problem with that. ROH needs the deal more than New Japan ...

Re: COLE, STRONG, MOOSE, HATHAWAY LIKELY TO LEAVE ROH
At the end of the day, I think we both can agree that with better creative and more quality stories up and down the card, both the product and business will improve.

Re: COLE, STRONG, MOOSE, HATHAWAY LIKELY TO LEAVE ROH
I think that Lethal is a star. reDragon not really. I like them but they aren't stars to me. Cole is an absolute star but hasn't been used like one in a long time. I guess that argument can be made for reDragon as well. And Castle can be a star, but he's way too low on the totem pole right now. And ...

Re: COLE, STRONG, MOOSE, HATHAWAY LIKELY TO LEAVE ROH
The New Japan talent is coming over more and more which oversaturates that and makes it less "must see". And finally, nobody is paying $30-35 for a PPV when you can buy the Network or Evolve shows for $10-15 and see a far superior product. It's that simple. If like ROH says 1 million peop...

Re: COLE, STRONG, MOOSE, HATHAWAY LIKELY TO LEAVE ROH
ACH is a guy who is a great example as you said. He has a ton of talent, he's charismatic as fuck but he's literally been given NOTHING since the day he's started. Not one compelling story line whatsoever. Which honestly, is mind boggling. I don't think many people think Koff/Delirious are terrible ...

Re: COLE, STRONG, MOOSE, HATHAWAY LIKELY TO LEAVE ROH
I don't buy Cornette's claims for one simple reason: there was a definite shift in the tone of the product when Delirious took over as booker, and much of the things that people complained about stopped happening. This is a new set of problems, not the same set of problems form the Cornette Era.[/qu...

Re: COLE, STRONG, MOOSE, HATHAWAY LIKELY TO LEAVE ROH
I thought Burnside made a lot of good points, and it's important to realize that while ROH did have great success and live attendance numbers were up last year, they are down this year. They're still good but you never want to trend downward. As the product gets staler and staler, which pretty much ...

Re: COLE, STRONG, MOOSE, HATHAWAY LIKELY TO LEAVE ROH
Guys, Delirious sucks. We all know this. Sinclair sucks. We all know this. The old ROH is never coming back, accept it and move on. Evolve, NXT, New Japan, Progress, Rev Pro, etc are all superior products. Move to them. Seriously, what in ROH right now is must see? Absolutely nothing. I enjoy Lethal...

Re: The WWE Thread
Everyone is down on the show because the finishes all sucked. Ladder match was good. Womens match was good. Everything else was heavily disappointing. And the crowd was mic'd so poorly it sounded like they weren't into any of the matches. Brock/Dean was by far the most underwhelming match of the nig...

Re: The PWG Thread
For sure! Not trying to be Mr. Indie Guy or anything either. I've watched all of my PWG DVD's several times over and haven't been this excited about pro-wrestling since I saw my first ECW PPV back in the 90s. Even just the highlight reels are a good time. And Barbarian Overlords fucking destroys. T...

Re: Official 14th Anniversary Show (PPV) Thread
I'm not an old territory fan, just a 24 year old kid who likes wrestling. That being said, I agree with you 100% that the main reason I can't get into the product anymore is the booking, or lack thereof of good stories. ROH doesn't really give me a reason to care about anything. We have a heel champ...

Re: Official 14th Anniversary Show (PPV) Thread
Agreed. You could have taken BJ vs Page off the card. Could have taken Daniels/Shelley off the card albeit the MCMG reunion needed to be on there. Considering you know ANX/War Machine was most likely going to get no crowd reaction due to a majority of people not caring about either team or the angle...
