Re: Random ROH Thoughts Thread

To jump back to Barrett really quick. Remember him when he debuted and how bigger he was? I think a lot of the injuries can be attributed to not only WWE's schedule, but the wellness testing. Steroids not only help these guys put on muscle, but also helps against injury. That's why you see pitchers ...

Re: Official Global Wars/War Of The Worlds 2016 Super Thread

The Bullet Club themselves don't help matters much. They are very interactive with the fans in a positive way. They don't really put forth an effort to do the little things heels would do.

Re: G1 Climax 24 Spoilers Thread

Night 7 was on the money! Not really a star rating guy but I love those last three matches as much as any other this tournament. I can't believe how strong guys like Nagata, Kojima, or Tenzan are looking this tournament. The Shibata match reminded me of a 2007 Nagata. Was that liger laughing when Na...

Re: G1 Climax 24 Spoilers Thread

I haven't heard anything about Tanahashi but on the LAW podcast today they said Makabe is probably out. From night 5, I was extremely impressed with Gallows in his match with Ishii. Great big-man offense. Utilizing the Undertaker punch is a nice touch. He also showed impressive agility throughout th...

Re: SPIKETV DECLINES TNA EXTENSION, MORE BIG NEWS TO COME?

Tenay was fine in WCW when he was nothing more than a wrestling encyclopedia. They only went to him when nobody else knew anything about a foreign or Indy wrestler. Other than that he sat there and didn't say a word. Making him your ace commentator is obviously a bad idea. I personally think it's ab...

Re: Official Summer Heat Tour Thread

That's the one. Do they not use it as their finish? I looked them up a bit on youtube and it seems everyone kicks out of it. I haven't been wowed by a tag team move like that since KRS1.

Re: Official Summer Heat Tour Thread

Monster Mafia were over huge. At first it was the typical "look at me" fans who started a head-gear chant that put them over in the match. They took the ball and ran with it, and soon their wrestling was carrying the crowd. That reverse-rack to Sit out Alabama Slam was awesome. I think ROH...

Re: DGUSA/EVOLVE Thread

AR Fox and Del Sol are both awesome. I saw them have any amazing match in Indy in Febuary. Have seen AR Fox at several shows. He is really cool always just walking around talking to people before and after his matches. Del Sol is just so crisp in the ring. When you look at other big names in that s...

Eddie is extremely entertaining at Indy shows. I would hardly call him overpaid. Guy has been awesome with crowd interactions for a while. All part of the show

Re: DGUSA/EVOLVE Thread

With guys like Ricochet, AR Fox, Rich Swan, and Chuck Taylor, they have a group who are arguably the best young wrestlers on the Indy circuit. Reminds me of Punk/Dragon/Joe/Aries ext when they were on the come up.

Re: DGUSA/EVOLVE Thread

is a must watch for wrestling fans. No it is not. Maybe when Gabe has enough motivation to give this federation any identity and get more than one basic storyline going on at the same time, it'll become must-watch. Just because I personally prefer it over Chikara doesn't mean it's any better than C...

Re: DGUSA/EVOLVE Thread

Just got back from the show and want to share some thoughts: Chuck Taylor and RIch Swann was entertaining as hell. YAMATO is great and the match vs Ricochet was fun. The Scene and their manager are god awful. Not sure why they are even in dragon gate. Didn't see a whole lot of takent from anyone. Th...

Re: The TNA Thread

No doubt. I didn't mean that a knock against ROH. Just emphasizing how much better the big 2 have gotten for fans of awesome wrestling. I hope ROH steps it up and adds some more intrigue to their shows too.

Re: The TNA Thread

I think you misunderstood me. By saying it doesnt help, I'm referring to ROH.

They (WWE and TNA) are combining intriguing story lines with great wrestling now. A few years ago if you wanted to watch the best in ring performers, you had to watch ROH. Now, not so much.

Re: The TNA Thread

I actually thought Extreme Rules was WWE's best PPV this year. I would probably put that at 1 and Destination X at 2. I just don't like comparing ROH to the big tv Feds. I get a different kind of enjoyment from ROH. I love the technical and sporting contest aspects ROH brings, but in terms of genera...
